Go to phone settings
In your phone settings you have to make sure you turn off the setting that allows this to use your cellular data in order for you to be able to use cell data and have the camera linked to the app at the same time.

You have to connect to Wifi from dash cam on your iPhone. You don't have to disconnect from cell service. It will connect to camera while connected to cell phone service.

Turn off cellular
As noted by the other reviews: in order for the app to work, you need to turn off cellular data. Pretty frustrating and not something I have to do with my other dash cam.
It works.
For this to work with your iphone you need to turn off your cell signal in settings and connect to the hotspot created by the camera. The iphone will default to trying to get internet from the cell signal if a hotspot doesn't have an internet connection. This is what causes all the issues connecting to the camera. Once you turn off cell signal it should work perfectly. It took me quite a while to figure this out. Hopefully this review will save you some frustration!

No main operation interface
Connects but no main operation interface operation appears so what’s the sense in connecting, connect for what there is no main operation interface.

Solution: Turn off Cellular for the app
Only was I was able to connect, the instructions were unclear.
