Subscriptions and cancellations are managed entirely by Apple, and they send an email reminder before any payment is processed. When you signed up for the trial, you also accepted Apple’s terms and conditions regarding billing. I like it!
While you have to manually log your transactions (as opposed to it connecting to your bank), I think this adds a level of accountability to the purchases you make. Competitor apps always do a poor job of categorizing transactions, anyways! You cannot physically "hold" money in the app, but the reminders to log and stuff envelopes put it a step above doing this process with pen and paper.
In short, working with budget bestie requires more discipline and I think that's a good thing. Developing those skills takes time, however, it's up to you whether you're ready to pay for an app that can't ""prevent"" you from being financially irresponsible.(by holding your money or working with your bank). It's still on you to work WITH the app and follow your budget.
Few bugs here and there, nothing crazy or app breaking, just be patient.

Amazing App, but……….
However…. I think it’s a little silly that you have to have an “empty envelope” in order to delete them. For example, I made a mistake making a transaction in the app and added way more than what needed to be in there (like a 1 million dollar oopsie), and it says it needs to be empty for me to delete it. I can’t even edit the total amount to make a correction. Why can’t we have control over that? I get that it’s probably a way to avoid accidentally deleting a needed envelope, but if we need to delete one to make a correction or have better ways to edit the envelopes for situations like I described.
Otherwise, this is an AMAZING app and I don’t want to take away from that.

In the meantime, you can press the 'zero out' button located at the top left of the keypad to make an envelope balance zero in the budget flow. To update your income, please exit out of the budget flow and go to the transactions section where you can edit it.
