  • Disappointing

Randomly remembered this game from almost a decade ago. This game is great in that it seems to be way more vibrant with better graphics and has additional features to make it more fresh compared to the past versions.

However, it falls short in comparison to its predecessors CCT 1 and CCT2. The reason is because if you move while shooting, you basically just run past while the ball goes by as your shot doesn’t actually register.

In the previous game you can run all you want but once you hold down shoot, your character will automatically go and hit the ball, provided you’re close enough. In this game you basically have to stand still or walk a couple steps, completely stop, and then shoot. It’s hard to put into words but essentially your shot won’t register if you aren’t completely still or are running which makes it kind of npc-like.

Finally, in the previous games, there was a simple yet effective way to gauge the power/intensity of your shot. In this game there is such a system too hit it literally lasts like a millisecond. You don’t even have time to gauge or control it so often times you just hit it out. In the past games too, you can use your joystick to aim and it would be convenient but in this game, using your joystick essentially means you hit way too hard or toward a direction and it goes out. It’s just way too restrictive and I don’t know where splice, drop shot and lob which were way easier to find and use in the past versions.

  • Excellent tennis game

Idk why this game hasn’t gotten any attention, it’s a pretty polished and well rounded experience, would recommend.
