We have added a few features. First of all the clicking sound is now more realistic than before. Secondly, we have added support for pictures next to your text messages. Text messages can now be displayed in bold. And finally, you can set a picture that will be shown on top of your text messages and pictures. This could be used as a frame or maybe as a banner over all your flipping messages.

Reviews of Split

  • Promising, but immature

Took me a couple of hours (!) of try and error plus tech support to get it to work at all, tried iPhone with Apple TV and iPad. The web interface looks like an early beta - convoluted design, very laggy (as in, easily up to a minute), no 1:1 text to display interface for predictable results. Way too many technical hurdles and way too short a free trial to get this to work and feel good about paying the pretty hefty subscription price. Not market-ready by any standards.

  • Promising, but never got it to work

Tried to create a dashboard on both my Apple TV and iPad - could not get it to work. Finally got past the Device Not Listed screen, but still none of the On/Off buttons on the Boards webpage can be triggered, they’re always grayed out. It’s too hard and too obscure a process to get a success experience with this app/webpage combo. Too bad, I was really looking forward to this experience and would even pay a subscription if I ever managed to get it to work at all.
