No block out curtains

Minute two, night one, on entering our room we noticed there were no blockout curtains. I called down to the desk and was told they don’t have them at this resort. I thought this was odd, particularly since we couldn’t turn off the balcony light from our room. But one learns to cope with it. But then last night while out strolling the grounds I look up and lo and behold, every room has them but ours. Lied to. I find this very upsetting. Also, I booked an upgrade and was told we would get a site and no we didn’t. I should have brought it up on check in. But it was a secret surprise for my husband so I didn’t have an opportunity to go to the desk until yesterday. Still no word back from them. I am highly disappointed to say the least. Our room is often neglected by the maids day and night as well. I find it rather disconcerting that even with an upgrade to their “Privilege” status our experience is so lacking. I feel for those who didn’t upgrade. Or hey maybe we are the chumps for giving them more money for nothing!!
