This is the answer
As far back as I can see, I was looking for a pdf app that allows me to do everything that Acrobat can do without the cost of my arm and leg. This has every feature that I can ask for as far as managing pdfs are concerned. It is also aesthetically more appealing and intuitive.

Missing the ability to add passwords protection for privacy.
Worst pdf app going
Don’t bother. Can’t crop pdfs. Constantly harasses you with pop ups. UI has no labels so you don’t know what anything does. Useless app. Find something else. AVOID!

It’s 2024 and Adobe is charging $230 a year to edit pdf’s. I thought this was outrageous and went down the rabbit hole to find a reliable alternative. PDFgear seems to be a clear winner with app, Mac and pc support. Thank you!

Corrupts My PDF's with Password
for some reason when I open PDFs in this app and do editing and annotating a few different times, and save the file to iCloud Drive, eventually a password will be added to the file randomly, and I can no longer access any of the data or the file. This app would be great if it didn't ruin my files.
