Personally have always been a sports person that always gets drawn to Magic: The Gathering or similar card games. Both physical and digital versions are just too much too learn for me as it has never seemed to quite “click” for me. From my experience this should be called NBA: The Gathering. Absolutely perfect execution for what I have always imagined a Card turn based sports games would be. I am really hoping other sports can be translated similarly. You can either be a casual basketball fan to or casual card game player to understand the core of the game, and the more you play the deeper it gets. On court pairings greatly affect the outcome of games, so needing to know which of the 4 players types does what is essential. However the game does a beautiful job of walking you through everything at your own pace. If you’re an NBA fan, this game is a must. Player ratings accurately correlates to NBA doppelgängers, meaning you probably already know what players go with who and excel at what. My only complaint is how this game is so far under the radar. Not that completely mainstream is good for any game, but this is an essential basketball strategy game to at least give a shot. I have never wrote a single review in all my years on the App Store and I was completely shocked to only see a single review for this game. I am really hoping to see these developers get the recognition they deserve to keep this awesome game growing!
