It’s exhausting trying to find people who understand the ENM lifestyle and not have them look at me like I have three heads for wanting to date outside my relationship. But with candid it makes the search a little more fun and easier. With the feature of seeing who’s in people’s networks it makes me feel more comfortable swiping for new friends. Dating apps are really boring. Like sifting through everyone to see if someone is actually interested or just playing the numbers game is exhausting. I was tired of explaining my sexuality and the fact that my partner and I are ENM. I just wanted to find friends I felt safe to be my whole self with, and Candid really helped facilitate that! I didn’t have to go out of my way to find people who were interested in the same things as me. I could join an event page, meet people in a safe, public setting and just have a good time. No pressure to be anyone but myself.
