Announcement: With the release of this update, we will be resetting everyone's Rounds Played (All Time) and Rounds Played (This Week) stats to zero. This decision has been made to address an issue where the count was inflated for some players due to a bug. The new build fixes this bug, and in the interest of fairness, we believe resetting the value is the best course of action. We appreciate your understanding and continued support. IMPROVEMENTS ‘Starting Soon’ games will now timeout if left alone for too long. Current active games leave the “In Progress” list faster when only bots remain. Games now show what game mode they are in next to the Game Title in lists. The Game Server will now auto correct in the event of a crash. Massive amounts of optimization for server stability and game performance. Fixed app crashes. BUG FIXES Rejoining a learning mode game causes the rejoining player to not be able to interact with the trade board. (FIXED) Server could crash during the distribution of cards (FIXED) Fix android related crashing (FIXED) Games with bots start in a locally paused state (FIXED)

Price History of Figgie By Jane Street

Description of Figgie By Jane Street

Jane Street's fast-paced Figgie card game simulates exciting elements of markets and trading. Invented at Jane Street in 2013, Figgie was designed to simulate open-outcry commodities trading. Players negotiate trades for cards of different suits over a series of rounds. Like in poker, your objective in Figgie is to make money. Most of the skill in Figgie is in negotiating trades that benefit both the buyer and seller. Each Figgie deck contains 40 cards of four suits: two 10-card suits, one 8-card suit, and one 12-card suit. The suit matching each count is random and not known to the players until the end of the round. Only one special suit, the goal suit, has any value. Players attempt to deduce the goal suit while buying and selling cards. Figgie can be played by 1 to 5 players. At Jane Street, Figgie is a game we teach and really enjoy playing. Join us!

  • Bad Account UX

Really dumb account generation process makes it possible for a guest account to consume a user name. It’s downhill from there. Read the LessWrong entry on this and think hard about whether these are really the kind of people you want to hang out with.
  • High power consumption

Great game, great UX, but the power consumption is so high for such a light game app. 1-2 rounds make my iPhone heating up quickly. Better to optimize the app a bit
  • Irresponsible battery usage

Eats 10s of percent extremely rapidly
