Don’t bother.
It’s like they don’t know that mandolins have double courses for the two lower strings (G and D). Each has an octave string that is tuned 1 octave above the bass > G2 and G3 and D2 and D3. The A and E strings are unison but not the bass. This is basic to creating a mandolin tuner.

Hello Hsoplx! In the standard tuning two lower strings G and D should be in unison too. What you refer is some alternate tuning and you can also do it easily with our chromatic mode. Thanks for taking the time to rate our mandolin tuner.
Accurate and easy to use
I love the like tones mandolin tuner! It’s accurate and easy to use with eight strings playing at the same time being slightly out of tune is pretty obvious. This tuner hits it perfectly every time it has a big screen so even with my old eyes, I can read it. It makes a pleasure.
He has most of the alternate tunings already built in. I don’t have to go searching around.
I wish there was a sixth star I could give it.
