Fantastic App
This is a well designed app with a great purpose. It’ll help by grandfather tell his story with ease!
Wonderful way to preserve and explore your memories and ideas
I’ve been surprised while using this app. It helps me articulate memories and ideas while having a pleasant conversation with AI. It feels like you are talking to a good friend or a sophisticated writer.
Good concept, needs a lot of work.
(This is reviewed after spending roughly 25 hours on the app)
✅Good idea, not many like it. This is the best executed version of this idea. The UI is amazing, beautiful and simple.
✅The ai originally was very fun to talk to, and it helps jog memories long forgotten.
✅Their support team is helpful, quick, and obviously cares for their product.
✅The summaries of the conversations you have with the AI are amazing, the AI seems to always summarize everything similar as if I put my thoughts into text, even if the words are not very eloquent or they’re broken thoughts at times. Absolutely brilliant and I can’t stress that enough.
❌My main issue with this app is reliability. Out of the two weeks I’ve been using it so far, it’s been completely unusable for 10 days. That’s a 71% failure rate for a $200/year product.
I would compare this app (price wise, not use wise) to an app like ForeFlight, which is an incredibly detailed, real time, complex yet reliable application including things like the most detailed map of the US at your finger tips, insanely accurate and detailed weather from across the globe, extensive information about thousands of airports and how they operate, plus the dozens of other uses inside the app.
However, running ai is not cheap in the slightest, and I’m not sure what API they’re using, but it seems on par with some of the more top of the line AI models, and therefore I think a good chunk of the price is justified. For $200 a year though, I would expect some much more serious quality control.
❌Even when the app became usable again, the AI got stuck in a loop, repeating similar questions about 2-3 minor events from my story, to the point where it got unbearable to have a conversation with. Originally, this app was a lot of fun, but at the end (last 10,000 words of my story) it felt like a chore.
❌When finished (after talking to this robot for dozens of hours) with my story, I expected to be greeted with a loading screen, leading me to my AI-generated story based on my 50,000 words that I could read and download. This was not the case, and it just showed a message along the lines of “Your story is complete! Contact support for help creating your story.” I did contact support, and it seemed like what I originally thought would happen, WAS supposed to happen. But it didn’t. Very disappointing after so much time spent with the app.
✅I do however, have a lot of faith that this app will improve over time. The things I would like to see happen (and I will update my review if some do) are as follows:
⭐️I’d like to be able to read my autobiography, but I think that’s a glitch, so maybe I will see it in the near future.
⭐️The ai producing slightly better prompts, and not getting caught up in loops like it was.
⭐️Changes to how you view the stories, a summary before you hit 50,000 words. Yes, you can read each summary of individual conversations, but that’s so tedious. I would instead rather read a summary of how the autobiography is going at say, 25,000 or 43,000 words or whatnot.
⭐️an addition of a feature telling you what you’ve missed so far in life, or improving the AI to do that better than it does now. For example, being like “you’ve discussed your 30s in depth, but the information about your 20s is lacking”
Or perhaps a chart that shows the portions of conversations so far dedicated to certain topics. Like: “So far we’ve discussed 20% family, 10% friends, 10% work, but only 3% love life. What was your first date like?” Etc.
⭐️Reliability needs to be vastly improved. I would be happy with around a 5% rate of failure or outages.
⭐️An option to add pictures to conversations, and include those in the stories when reading them. For example, during the summary of a conversation, allow attachments to be added with text explaining them. For example, adding a picture of my mother and I, and then explaining “This is a photo of my mother and I when I was seven” and having the AI add that to the story in an appropriate place. I don’t know how realistic that is, however.
⭐️Perhaps a lower price point, I think $12-$13 a month or $100 for a year is a pretty fair price point to start from, even if the app worked perfectly in its current state. With more features, however, $18-$20 a month could be fairly reasonable!!

Overall, I will be waiting for improvements to the app and help from support. I’m excited to see how the app will evolve, however, in this state it’s not a very fun experience. So I will be waiting it out for the near future.

Hello, we appreciate your concern. That interruption was due to a short outage with one of our technology vendors - we've addressed the vulnerability in a new app release this week.
Cool app, but broken.
Initially thought it was pretty fun, Then it stopped loading and produced error after error message.

Incredible App
Stunning user interface and great experience. Highly recommend this to those looking to share their story or get loved ones to share theirs!!
A Game-Changer for Capturing Life Stories!
I use Autobiographer a lot, especially while driving with Apple Car, and it’s just awesome. The AI-driven conversations make it super easy to record my memories and life events. I love how it turns my stories into beautiful, shareable pages. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to preserve their life story!

Review of autobiographer
Loved it! I’ve always thought that as soon as I had time I’d get my thoughts written down and now I finally am. Everyone has something they want to say and now with this Ap it’s easy to!

Love this app! So easy to use and fun. It’s like being interviewed by a friend. The questions prompt memories, some I wouldn’t have remembered if not asked. Looking forward to sharing with friends and family.
Fun to use
The conversation is more interesting than I expected and I’ve been using the app as a daily journal while also telling my favorite stories from my past. I’ve only created a few written letters so far but they are really fun to send to friends. I plan to write a few personal memoirs with this
Has changed my relationships!
I use Autobiographer almost every day when I walk my dog. I’m able to construct my story with amazing questions and feedback! I am able to write specific stories for example, my childhood bullying experiences. I also write about specific people like my children and friends and then send them notes of gratitude. Since I have been having these conversations, my perspectives have changed on the people and the stories in my life. It’s like a combination of journaling, therapy, and conversations with a good friend! I am 60 years old, and the timing for this is perfect as I think about leaving stories behind for my family. It’s so easy to use, and I absolutely love it!!
