The potential is here….
Major missing function: No way to create any type of account to sync information. If a phone gets replaced, lost, out of power, etc. any data stored by the app is useless and must be the-entered. While there is some perceived benefit in keeping info out of the cloud (can’t be as easily compromised) it SEVERELY detracts from the usability aspects.
What I would like to see (non trivial): A secure website where one can manage personal and/or family information that would sync with the app. Individuals could link with 1 (or more) “families” or groups and a “owner” of the group could allow privileges within the group (read only, sync only (their info synced to group), “admin” (could change anything in group), etc. in an emergency situation cellphone may get left behind, damaged, or otherwise inaccessible, having a web access to info with a login could be a way to function from other access points (friends phone/pc, community resource, etc).
Feature 2: It would also be FANTASTIC if one could opt-in (or out) of sharing data with local emergency resources (CERT, EMS, county) and a easy way for emergency services to lookup an individuals info (if shared). Example: I know MY blood type, allergies, etc, but EMS doesn’t and if I am not conscious I can’t open my app to show them, but somebody may be able to tell them who I am (or look at my ID in my wallet).
Just a couple suggestions.
