I’m from the US and I’ve been doing research for what is the best international provider for providing data while abroad. I’ve heard of competitors such as Airalo and HolaFly, but was looking for something that had unlimited data at reasonable prices. I gave Roamify a go after reading several blogs, including some that are sponsored on their website. I’ve been using it for several days now and the service is the same quality as what you would find in the same regional area you are staying. The rates were very affordable especially for unlimited. But what truly makes this company great is their customer service. Since this is my first time activating an eSIM from an internet-based company, I was not sure what to expect. I activated an eSIM, but need to do some additional work such as setting Roamify as my default data provider while keeping the rest of my voice and text with T-Mobile. Initially, my eSIM didn’t work and had to use the built-in chat within the Roamify app to get help. After going through a chat-bot, I quickly discovered I needed to enable the “Data Roaming” feature on my phone for the Roamify eSIM. In a different purchase, I realized that I made a mistake and bought a country specific plan, but found that the Europe region (which includes additional countries) was the same price. I went on the chat app within Roamify to ask if I could get my plan switched and they accommodated my request without any additional charges or fees. Overall, I’m very happy with the service, especially with a focus on their customer service as I’m sure there will be many people who are unfamiliar with the activation process and need a little bit of hand holding to get everything working just rate. I will definitely be keeping the Roamify app on my phone and will be using it again for my future travels.

Constant Issues
I’ve purchased eSIMs about six times across multiple countries and had issues with four of them. Half the time the email with the installation instructions don’t arrive. I couldn’t get any reception in the middle of Wellington, NZ. Whilst they are very good when you deal with their online assistance, it is incredibly inconvenient when you have just arrived in a new country to have to spend an extra 30 minutes using airport wifi to fix the problems.
