Absolutely pointless!
There is absolutely nothing the application does that isn’t already built into the device. Even then, the functions that are there don’t work properly. It’s supposed to update the firmware, but there’s no option for that at all. You can set the power mode in the app, but it won’t stick. The only option available is to change the brightness of the LEDs, and even that reverts to the previous setting. Since the device only connects manually and you have to keep the app open, the social media features are useless. It doesn’t pair with the OS to get updates in real-time
Don’t even bother downloading this app! There is no additional functionality that isn’t already on the controller. Keeping the controller connected to your phone takes more effort and is slower than if it did to just using the menu.Nickster555

For the last decade or so I’ve been buying Turtle Beach headsets and now this new “elite” controller. This embarrassing app was the cherry on top for me.bsmithree

Pairing
Even though the app is still pretty trash and temperamental for turtle beach. In regards to getting the app link working. I’ve found that it doesn’t matter if the dongle is plugged into the dock and the dock is wired to the Xbox or pc. Or if you connect the dongle to the Xbox itself.. when you open the app. Turn on your phones BT but also manually pair you phone to the “STEALTH ULTRA APP” in your BT device list and once paired there go back to the control app and then hit the + and everything should work as intended for the most part including mapping and customizing… if you just open the app and follow the prompts and just turn on your BT but not manually pair. It’ll will refresh the screen and show the controller like it’s connected but will just keep refeeshing. This has worked every time for me so far with purposeful testing to see what worked and didn’t. At least for iPhone this is what happens!HimmyNeutronYT
Horrible on mobile
Unusable on mobile wit the non stop spamming of notifications (I get a lot from sports etc) so just download it on Xbox it works fine on there and you can do any updates it needs thereSwagSantos

I looked at the pictures of the app and I can’t get to the same thing for my Stealth Ultra. It shows the controls are in profile but I can’t get to it because whenever I hit it it says refresh and takes me back to home. Am I missing something?Chesskiduser

A little redundant
I bought the Stealth Ultra controller for my Xbox, and after some difficulties getting it to connect to my console, it worked perfectly fine. It does exactly as advertised. My issue is the app. Anything the app can to the controller can do on its own. The app also missed a considerable amount of setting and options the controller has on its own display. I’m sure there are some controllers where the only way to interface with it is through the app, which is unfortunate. My best advise is to go into your Bluetooth setting and manually connect to the app from there. For me it was a device called “Stealth Ultra App”.
Tl:dr
App is pointless for my case, and a pain to set up in the first place. If you can, avoid using it unless necessary.AnkridX785

This app looks like a google slide show it keeps forgetting my controller so I have to pair it to the app again can change the binds through the app or anything the controller is the best Xbox one out but the app is trash.sniper 3d killer
Clearly doesn’t work.
Is this an app through Turtle Beach or is it a 3rd party app? Because if this is an app made by Turtle Beach,It has got to be one the worst apps ever. I’m trying to update the firmware on my controller and I can’t even get to any type of screen that looks remotely like it downloads anything. The pics the show when you go to the App Store to download it are nonexistent in the app. Heck, everything is so cut off on my phone screen, I can’t see anything. Truly an awful app.nezzy71
