bluetooth failed

i bought this battery to boondock in my small 17’ RV (Casita). This past weekend I was on a three day camp out with no electricity. I used the furnace, LED interior lights & roof fans in the main cabin & bathroom. The Bluetooth monitoring stopped & showed 100% SOC & no movement on any of the other perimeters. So now I don’t know when to recharge with solar panel, nor can i trust it to stop charging when it is too cold outside.
I don’t recommend this battery, Bluetooth failed after owning for 4 months.

Blue Tooth heck (h&$l)

I want the Bluetooth battery to report status of the system. I’ve connected two 100AH group 24 batteries together in parallel.

Like others, initially it only reported one battery. In the morning it ceased reporting battery status at all.

Perhaps the BMS isn’t so smart. How can I tell if both batteries are discharging?

I’m not impressed.

Developer missed the entire point of a battery

These batteries are used in remote areas where internet isn’t available. Requiring an internet connection to check battery status when the battery is likely being used in places where THERE IS NO INTERNET is a complete failure.

It’s fine to require login when I want to order something or communicate with the company, but you should never, ever, ever, ever need to log in to check the battery status.

Instructions stink!!! Tracks your information!!!

Privacy Policy eludes to use in "Personal" account and no login... No instructions to turn on Personel account and no way to bypass login screen!!!

Not useful

The app requires an internet connection to work, and annoyingly requires you to login regularly. It annoys you by alarming when you walk away from the battery. The whole idea of having a battery is you are using it away from power, and quite likely away from the internet. The developers don’t understand how the product is used. Unfortunately, in spite of the developer’s response, the app requires you to log in every few days, and the app doesn’t retain your login data so you are left typing the whole thing in several times a week. . I don’t care if anyone can ever see my battery status. Requiring a login is idiotic.

Response from developer

In order to protect the user's account security, such as logging in for a long time in the absence of network environment to use or did not use the APP, the next time in the network environment to use, the APP will ask to re-login after use, and the APP defines that this login effective period is generally 30 days. It means that you can use device management (add, connect, view device information, etc.) without logging in again within 30 days after the first login and open the APP. An internet connection and login is required to access the APP, but it is not necessary to manage devices. After you have logged into the APP, you can manage devices (e.g., add, view, and control devices) even if the subsequent Internet connection is turned off

Batteries seem really good. App stinks.

While I appreciate the app trying to make things simple for the user, it goes too far in dumbing down the experience. There should be an advanced mode that provides more info such as cell details, etc. like most other apps provide. Hopefully a future version of the app will provide this. For now it is adequate, but just barely.

Why is an account needed?

There is no reason an account should need to be created to communicate with a device over bluetooth. The app tries to connect to a server in China for some reason when it is launched. I have another app to monitor my charge controller that doesn’t need to phone home to China with my email address, and it works just fine.

Broke the app

This latest update has destroyed the time to charge or discharge feature. Also, you have no idea where you can go to report this on their you go to when you tap app support.

Really bad

Agree with others who report the app providing inaccurate data. I connect via Bluetooth and it will typically provide stale data. Went from reporting 60% to reporting 5% in a short period with no load.
Currently have it plugged into charger and it doesn’t report that it is charging. Why offer Bluetooth support if you can’t get it right?

Very little functionality and the batteries go on standby!

The batteries go on standby! And never come on despite others identical batteries getting to 12.1V
Just pathetic functionality of the BSM.
Do not buy!
