Using keyboard is flakey.
Frustrating
you have to click the number on the screen each time that you want to enter it into the puzzle, rather than conviently using the keys

You can also use the keyboard to type. Try it out. Pressing the Tab key several times will give focus to the game board. You can also toggle memo by pressing Option + Number. You can also use hjkl and wasd as well as the arrow keys.
