Geeps

Geeps is a third-party client that allows to chat with OpenAI models like gpt-4o, o1 and others using your own developer API key. It offers a familiar chat experience but lets you use the models on a flexible pay-as-you-go basis. PLEASE NOTE!  API key is *required* for using the app. If you don't have the key, or not sure what it is, you can follow an easy guide on our website to get it in under 10 minutes. *** FEATURES If you used ChatGPT or other chat apps, you'll feel right at home. Here's what you can do: - use lightweight apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro - chat with the latest models from OpenAI like o1 or gpt-4o (other model providers will be added in the future) - tweak model parameters like prompt, temperature, topP, maxTokens and others and set your defaults. - automatically sync chats across devices with iCloud - choose between two built-in app themes and different syntax highlighting themes for code snippets - generate images with DALL-E 2 or 3 and have more control over their output * - send images to GPT models with Vision * - export your chats as Markdown files for easy backup and archiving * * these features require a one-time upgrade to Geeps Plus *** BENEFITS OF USING A THIRD-PARTY CLIENT While you can't use Geeps to chat for free, like on the ChatGPT free tier, but you might consider it in comparison with the ChatGPT Plus subscription: - you have faster and cheaper access to the latest models (they become available in the API sooner than in the free ChatGPT tier) - you pay only for the actual usage (i.e. input and output tokens) and this can be much lower than a premium subscription - you have higher rate limits for model usage than a free ChatGPT user - you can create multiple keys and share them with family or team while managing billing from a single account - API prices become lower over time, allowing you to save even more *** PRIVACY - Geeps does not collect or store any user data - you communicate directly with OpenAI servers without any middleware - data from API requests is not used to train OpenAI models (according to OpenAI privacy policy) *** Check out https://geeps.app for more information!
