Being a PN certified coach, I was soooo excited to see what this app had to offer. Maybe I got my hopes too high, but it definitely didn’t live up to the hype. I hate to say that because I LOVE PN and everything they are about/offer.

It needs to stay in beta testing right now.

It’s basically just you messaging this AI bot every now and again and doing a super basic check-in that isn’t much of a check in. That’s about it. There’s a very bland home screen that’s not really even a home screen.

I got really excited that this app would “sync” up with more things and really get to know me on a deeper level. I was excited to test it out and maybe learn a few tricks from it from a coaches-standpoint, too, but that didn’t happen. Definitely not worth $9/month right now.

This app has a LOT of potential but it’s going to take a lot more time and testing.

PN, you can do better!! I believe in you!

  • Not Ready Yet

I am very excited for the idea of this app but it’s just not there yet. I don’t think this app is developed enough to be charging money for its use yet. It needs more features and more work.
I am coming up on 2 weeks of using it so far and I do plan to cancel my monthly subscription because it just isn’t providing the value yet that it has the potential to.
Reviewing the PN webpage that describes this app, I do not see it providing many of the functions described, which is very disappointing. For example, the website description of the app says, “Lots of apps track your calories, macros, steps, exercise, and sleep. Sage does all that, too.” It then goes on to describe how Sage uses that data, going beyond what other apps do. This app does NOT track any of those things. I would have expected this app to hook into Apple Health, so that it has access to all of this type of data and can then do things with it, none of that is present in the app.
There are other things that I think could be improved about this app’s UI/UX but I think the issue outlined above is the biggest problem with this app right now, since it set the expectation for features that it doesn’t have.
I think this app should be in beta testing right now, not having people pay. I would be happy to be a beta tester as they continue to develop this app, but won’t be paying unless big changes are made.
