Damage Dealers is a delightful blend of both new excitement and nostalgic charm that I’m happy to have discovered. It seamlessly blends rhythm mechanics similar to Guitar Hero with a straightforward fighting system, complemented by a perk system that reminds me of Megaman Battle Network’s program modifiers. The result is a surprisingly enjoyable experience that clearly reflects the developers' dedication to merging these genres. Plus, its music and art style evoke memories of classics such as Jet Set Radio, Marvel vs. Capcom, and classic 2D brawlers.
