DEVS—-can you please help? Slowing down!

I am on an iPad Air2 running 15.8.2 iOS. The game was running smoothly without interruptions for first few days. Now the game is slow to load and is lagging with each action. Can you please help? Is your game optimized for this version of iPad?

Update—-These devs responded to my concerns within 24 hours. It turns out my iPad is just old and slow—-kind of crotchety! :)

This is NOT auto chess

While decently produced (aside from mixed voiceovers - some good some bad) and having a unique idea about how to try to do auto chess (incorporating a story and exploration), the game fails in reproducing that type of gameplay. The battles are no different than any other auto battler - you pick your lineup and place them on a grid, then click go. There's no quick succession of battles with the buying of matching units to level them up in between battles. You do buy units between battles, but more in a gacha fashion, and you have all the time in the world to do it. And then you level them up with currency. There are classes and races with bonuses for having a certain number on the field, but you're limited by the number of units you can put on the field. You can raise that limit only very rarely, which then makes the idea of trying to match races/classes far less beneficial. It becomes more about getting the most powerful units (they even have the cliche R/SR/SSR ratings) than about the unit matching and balancing of resources in purchasing units vs raising unit limit that normal auto chess games are about.
The ideas of auto chess are mostly there, they're just not implemented properly. So what you get is a mindless "adventure"/pseudo-rpg/auto battler that's just not that interesting. And no multiplayer that I saw.

Mediocre and Greedy

First of all, this game is nothing like chess nor is it original. There have been many other games with the same exact mechanics. The battles are more chaotic than strategic and the way to win requires more money than placement and thought. The chat feature censors nearly everything including common words that shouldn’t be censored so you can’t even communicate with the other players, and just like all of these foreign, idle games, they work overtime at trying to squeeze more and more money out of you. It’s also unstable and crashes often. They also block you from progressing through the pve chapters with ridiculous level requirements that can take days to reach if you’re not spending thousands of diamonds to level up and buying the privilege packs. Seems like there’s not enough chapters developed and by the time you realize this you’ve already gotten reeled in so be warned…

Good Auto Battler/Chess Rush

I like this game a lot. ‘Chess Rush’ server was shut down about 2 years ago and although there are others, Chess Rush was my fav. This game combines two of my favs; Dungeon Crawlers & Chess! I have been playing off and on all day and I have not dropped any $$$ bills on this game. I believe if a player truly understands the mechanics, theory and strategy, money is not required to play.
