  • Quite Fun!

    This game is definitely one of the better games I've seen on the app store for a while. It's got lots of replayability and strategy involved in, which I personally enjoy. There are a few things I'd like to see done to improve the game further; however I understand this game is still being developed and my complaints are quite minor so I won't let it affect my rating. The three things that I think could be changed are:
    1. I think a tutorial would be nice, it takes a bit to understand a few of the mechanics. Although based on the comments on some of the other reviews it seems a tutorial is already being worked on!
    2. It would be nice if when checking out a recipe you've unlocked, you could see what the full progression of craftable items rather than just the next tier. Like, for example, if you could see that the mallet can be crafted into a brain squasher by clicking on the wooden club. I have bad memory though so maybe this is just a me problem. Again, it's quite minor so it really doesn't affect the rating.
    3. A few more classes would be nice for some more variety. Again, I understand this game is still a work-in-progress so its likely more classes will be added in the future.
    Despite my complaints I want to reiterate that I think this is a great game and is deserving of the five stars. Keep up the great work, game dev(s)!

    Overall it’s pretty decent however I feel you should have 6 hearts instead of 4 from the beginning and the matching could be better so you play against people at your own level. Almost like a total combat power matchmaking.

  • Ranked mode needed

    Love the game, but when I’m so low level and everyone is so high level it’s impossible to win more than 5 times in a row. Everyone has higher level items than me. It’s ruining the game for me. Hopefully you put a rabies mode in to balance the game for new players.
  • Started great. Recent changes are…troubling

    Before I begin: any dev should make money. Full stop. I understand that a paid system was likely to come eventually. My biggest concern with how IAP’s were introduced is how they become a detriment to the gameplay of those who would rather not spend.

    The core characters are mid. The other characters are free on a cycle, which is great.

    I guess every amazing game eventually has to remain profitable. Before, the only “income” was watching ads to get an extra life once per game. Now, the income is a lot more prevalent.

    I’ve not been able to win fully through since the major changes to the leveling system was introduced in 0.10. Occasionally before I could get a 15-trophy win with some number of hearts left. I haven’t gotten higher than a 7-8 trophy streak since then.

    It’s kind of a bummer.

    Hello Kmorton88. Thank you for your feedback. It's an ever present balance to make the game fun for everyone and still be able to pay our bills. As our player base grows, our hope is that the play experience evens out so you can feel yourself getting better both through your inherent skill and through item / hero level ups. There are still ways to get 15 wins on free to play, but it's difficult. Do check out the discord server, lots of people in there help with strategy and good tips. Thanks for playing!
  • New IAP need some work, but make sense

    I thought adding a new character as a paid unlock made a lot of sense. I do however very much dislike taking Nymphedora and putting her behind a paywall. I know she’s in the free rotation right now but in a few days when she’s not it blows.

    I also dislike the unlock granting 10 levels and unlocking all items. Kinda defeats the purpose of playing. Maybe add like a 2$ variant or something.

    I’d a actually be okay with nymph going behind a paywall if me paying didn’t suddenly negate all the work I’d already done in getting to level 6.

    Overall I’d be happy to support through IAP but not in the current implementation.

    Hi ChrizBreck. Duly noted! The intention of the purchased pack is to move the XP you already earned on top of level 10, so no work is negated. It doesn't do that right now, but will from 0.13. If you already purchased, feel free to reach out in Discord, we can compensate you a bit. It's no fun to feel that hard work is wasted. Thanks for playing!

  • The difficulty is high.

    Also I don’t have any sound. I’m using an IPhone.
  • Hit and miss

    Parts of this game are great but the exp curve is brutal and some information is missing.
    Leveling all 3 characters to unlock items is rough with so little exp gained. Npc’s seem to get great gear out of the gate while the player is stuck rerolling the shop hoping for at least one piece of gear that they can use.

    Where does it tell you what the cards for items do that you unlock out of treasure box’s? I have some items 30/30 but that hasn’t seemed to change anything.

    Some type of detailed stamina breakdown would be nice. How much am i making per sec how much am I using.

    What does fatigue do? I get it in every battle but nowhere does it say what it does.

    Don’t get me wrong this is a fun game but the parts that are missing make it so frustrating to play.

    Glad you like the game. 1) We are working on a tutorial. 2) Those are not NPCs but real players. 3) We are working on the card upgrades. 4) Will think about the stamina breakdown 5) Fatigue affects both players to avoid infinite (or very long) fights
