  • Domini games is back!

…sort of. That bloody clock is still there, but they’ve put the morphing items back, and the game is much longer. The 8 dollar price is reasonable, because you get a lot of bang for the buck. If they ditch the countdown clock they’ll get me back with them for good.

  • Mystical Riddles: Ghostly Park CE by LynxMinx

This game is a hybrid; in other words, it’s a mixture of the episodic format (annoying sales timer clock and decision points) and a true CE game (add a strategy guide, collectibles and length). The game would have been very enjoyable, as it had a wonderful selection of puzzles, HO scenes, mini-games and tasks, except for two very major issues. It also had the same trite storyline: evil entity stealing souls in exchange for immortality. 🙄 You could also tell that whoever wrote the English text had a poor grasp of the English language, as verbiage and syntax were somewhat off. The first problem was the sales timer clock, or should I say clocks? The first one was a distracting two hour sales clock and the second one lasted an hour! Let’s face it. Domini doesn’t need these clocks because the gamers don’t wait for the sale. The second issue was the appalling lack of touchscreen sensitivity on the gameplay interface. Having to tap extremely hard makes a game difficult to play, and thus painful and miserable. Thus, my true rating will be 3.5 stars. I have complained to Oleg about all of these issues many times. The first issue ever addressed was when we had the excessive tapping penalty. Oleg listened to me and removed it. He has yet to address the clock and the sensitivity problems.
But here’s some great news! I have been complaining on everyone’s behalf about the episodic format. I am very pleased that many of you realized how expensive this format was and stopped purchasing the episodes. As a result, it seems as though Oleg might reconsider my suggestions and change the format back to more of what we loved. He has already given us several hybrids, which are more similar to a CE game. I know for a fact that Domini is losing revenue on the episodic format. So get ready for a change which will hopefully be more enjoyable and suitable for all of us. Remember as well that Oleg never released EIPIX to us. Those were CE games. Although they are older, they would still be terrific today. EIPIX had innovative gameplay and unusual inventory usage and puzzles. If Domini wants to see an increase in revenue, start releasing those games! If you guys want these games, then say so! I cannot do all of this by myself. Do most of you know how hard I worked to obtain the EIPIX games for Domini? It was a nightmare! However, we are making progress here. I want the episodic format to end just as much as all of you, and I believe Oleg realizes that his fan base is unhappy. I’ll keep you updated.

  • Meh

I play a lot of these games and I didn’t find that says enjoyable of some of the games by big fish or friendly fox games. The puzzles weren’t as interesting, the tapping seemed to not be sensitive enough to where it was difficult to get things to respond to typing, and there was a lot more back-and-forth between scenes than other games
