I’ve been using Iliad since it launched and I’m quite happy with it. I really like their ratings system, the bookshelf, and the clean, modern design. The breath of relief I breathed when I entered this app…sleek interface? Intuitive navigation? Customizable wood on my bookshelf?? Check, check, CHECK. Also loooove the 10-point rating system — I’m no longer feeling the need to give every single book I read a 4/5. And entering start/end reading dates without wondering if they actually saved?? FINALLY, a book app readers can actually use!
I really like using ILIAD so far. Easy to use, and I enjoy seeing my favorite reads on my Bookshelf, or laughing at the ones I’ve sent to the Graveyard. I’m looking forward to seeing what ILIAD recommends me to read next, and checking out my friends’ book reviews too. The app helps me feel more engaged in what I’m reading, which holds me more accountable if I’m in a reading slump. Very much Letterboxd meets Goodreads meets BookTok in the best way!Show lessSaxy96
Great book tracker with a gorgeous bookshelf!
I’ve been using this app for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. The bookshelf feature is unique and fun, and I can’t wait for more features to be added. Finally! A modern book app for the modern book lover.
It’s hard for me to express how much I love the ILIAD app.
1) It’s clearly built BY book lovers FOR book lovers.
2) The design is beautiful! It feels like something that Apple would make. Simple, intuitive, clean. Chef’s kiss.
3) The bookshelf! Wow, I can’t believe no one’s thought of this before. I love my old bookshelf back home, but I couldn’t bring it with me when I moved. Now I have my ILIAD bookshelf to display all my favorite books no matter what format they’re in. Mahogany is my favorite.
4) The new 10-point rating system! “Not my cup o’ tea” lol. Love it. It’s the perfect level of detail and definition to bring to the book rating experience. The 5-star ratings honestly never made sense to me.
5) The Graveyard! Yes! I always feel guilty abandoning a book, but this will make it easier for me to move on. Thank you.
6) Having separate spots for notes vs reviews vs review headlines (140 characters) is great. Please give us the option to make some of these private!
Overall, I know the app is still in beta, but it’s a great start and I can’t wait to tell all my friends about this. And what a great name: ILIAD!Show lessAmoninu5
