Expensive, slow, not made for iPad
The settings looks like they were specifically designed for a phone screen and the orientation is locked to portrait mode while navigating the app - this is not a great design choice for an iPad. The UI also isn’t very intuitive.
Guide loads slow and the monochrome colour scheme makes it hard to differentiate shows.
It seems like this is a copy of an exiting bad iPhone app (that was also locked to portrait mode) and it feels like the app name is trying making people think it’s related to TiviMate - which it isn’t.
Try it for free, but there are definitely better options for your money.
Response from developer
Hello! Thanks for trying out our app. Our app was just launched approximately 3 weeks ago. With that being said we know there is a lot of work still to be done which are actively doing along side creating an tvOS version of this app. We are actually working on changing the code base for the app to make it work even better and smoother. We have many features to add still, but I would say you are being very unfair with the review. Our app currently does not have a splash loading screen which leads you to believe that the app is slow at loading content when it is not(we will be adding a loading screen soon!). In regards to the orientation being locked on the iPad, we are aware of this and working on fixing this. As I mentioned we are changing the code base of this app so we will make landscape mode compatible with the iPad version soon! You are also correct in saying that we are not related to TiviMate. We have never claimed such as thing and never will. The name of the app surely shares similarity but I would argue that it is still not close to TiviMate, when you take into account that the app logo and design is completely different. I highly suggest you come back and try our app again in a couple of months and share you thoughts again! - TiviVue Team
