What's New in Version 1.6.5 (June 10, 2024) Camera Memory Optimizations Enhanced memory management for the camera and video engine. Optimized shaders, filters, and frame blending for better performance and reduced memory usage. New Color Controls / Image Enhancements Added Highlights, Shadows, Definition, Brilliance, and Black Point to live image enhancements. Enhanced color shaders for improved color accuracy and vibrance. Note: These settings are applied after frame blending. New Frame Blending Pre-Processing Color Controls Added all Color Controls settings (e.g., Saturation, Brightness, Contrast, Exposure) to Frame Blending Pre-Processing. Enables independent control of frame blending color before blending, enhancing effects and reducing light pollution. Adjustable during the timelapse session. Added "Apply to Frame Blending" button for live preview and application of settings to Frame Blending (Frame blending must be enabled). Recommended to reset main color controls after transferring settings to avoid double application. Optimized color controls to use Metal (GPU) for better performance and lower power consumption. Camera / Video Writing Errors Now Reported Camera capture and video writing errors are now displayed as toast messages on the camera screen, recommending a camera restart for best results. Timelapse Optimizations Improved accuracy and reliability of counters. Fixed and optimized video speed rendering for accuracy and reliability. Video Recording Optimizations Enhanced video recording engine and display for accurate video stats. Added a "Pre-Load Filters" feature to reduce interruptions, available below the Video Filters list in the camera (off by default). Camera Mode Switching Enhanced switching between photo, video, and timelapse modes. Note: Video mode restricts Shutter and ISO changes but allows EV (Exposure Bias) management for brightness control. Timestamp Heading Orientation and Speed Fixes Fixed timestamp heading orientation in landscape modes. Corrected speed to reset to 0 when not moving. Edit Project After Recording Added the ability to rename or add descriptions to timelapse projects post-recording. Access this feature in the project view under the Edit menu.

New video and photo modes, great improvements of the frame blending / light painting to include comet mode, fading trails, 20 new filters to include Comic, Matrix etc.  Camera Profiles are now sharable to the community feature in the quick launch. Leaderboard is greatly improved and now automatically receives updates. Sun and Moon Finder AR View that uses AR Camera to map your environment and lock on to the Sun and Moon via location, and sun / moon calculations. This helps you plan and aim for the best angle to capture sunsets, sunrises, moonsets and moonrises. Great for timelapse planning! Many other improvements app wide, and this is a huge update to the video rendering, writing and capturing engines.

Camera Updates - General Enhancements: Added pinch-to-zoom functionality in the camera view. Double tap to zoom: 2x zoom or reset to 1x zoom. New Zoom Tap feature: Tap between 2 to 6 times for different zoom levels; double-tap resets to 1x zoom. Improved touch slider sensitivity: Reduced to minimize accidental adjustments. Countdown timer adjusted to not obstruct the camera button, allowing timelapse stoppage in countdown mode. New Reference Image settings with quick access icon on the bottom toolbar. Organized in-camera menus into tabbed views for less clutter. Enhanced Frame Blending readability and section separation on smaller screens. Introduced a bottom toolbox bar with quick access to Zoom, Frame Blending, Tilt Shift, latest photos, and Reference Image. Sidebar updates: Briefcase icon now for Timelapse Profiles; new iPhone icon for Camera Display/Viewport settings. Video speed range in-camera now from 0.1x to 2.0x for easier adjustments. Timelapse Camera Actions: Fixed cloning issue in profiles: now prevents duplicates in default profiles. Profile updates include automatic live camera shutoff after 3 seconds except in Art Mode. Media Files UI Updates: Enhanced Media Section with new grid or list views. Options to bulk delete, export, or share; sort and favorite media. Added functionalities to take screenshots, export frames, and delete or export single files. UI Main Updates: New Theme Editor in Settings to customize UI colors. Quick Launch split into sections for better navigation. General speed improvements across the app. Apple Watch Updates: Added a new Photo Capture screen accessible by swiping right past the Timelapse screen. Timelapse Camera Video Processing - Added a Split Video option to the Timelapse Camera - settings may be found under the Timelapse Camera settings > Video Settings - Splits the timelapse into multiple videos to prevent losing the entire timelapse if the app crashes or the phone runs out of space - You define the size of the video to split (default is 512 Megabytes) and the camera engine will split the timelapse into chunks and save multiple videos inside the same timelapse project. - Optionally pause the timelapse while splititng a video. This feature is for splitting large videos during small (1 sec or less) intervals. The frame queue will start to collect frames while splitting is occurring and the app may incur a large amount of memory usage during this time. Pause the timelapse during split to reduce the possibility of this occuring. Timelapse Camera - Added feature to toggle rotation on / off under Camera Display Settings in the Camera menus. This feature will lock in your orientation once you start timelapsing and the camera will not rotate giving you the ability to control the video output orientation. Previously this was not an option and the camera would rotate while timelapsing. You can control this setting now. Camera Rotation is now disabled during timelapse by default. - Fixed Live Filter Mode - now this is the default mode unless you are in Art Profile which gives you live mode. - Added action sdialog prompt to delete timelapse from the post timelapse menu instead of just deleting it. After deleting, the camera will close. Timelapse Camera UI - Fixed overlay on Frame Blending for smaller screen sizes to not clip the text - Added new menu for Camera Preview Mode - allows you to change from Filtered to Unfiltered Mode and turn off the latest captured display for live view while time lapsing. My Stats are now called "Stats" and stored in your database - Makes loading the view much faster - Calculates and stores your stats over time, allowing you to remove Timelapses and Media Files and not lose the stats for them. Allows you to reset the stats - will recalculate based on the current app status - so if you delete something and recalculate, you’ll lose older stats. - Automatically calculate stats when timelapse is completed. Added Quick Launch Screen to Home Screen - Allows you to pick which profiles you want to show on the quick launch screen and organize them - Allows you to delete or edit your profiles from the edit profile menu in the list. - Allows you to change the colors of the quick launch tab, background, button icons, and text. - Allows you to add a background image from your camera roll for the Quick Launch background. Position, Scale, and Transparency can be adjusted. UI Updates - New Home Screen and new Camera button on the bottom bar. - Removed top logo / camera button to optimize space. - Added Changelog to the More and Documentation Pages.
