So, this app will do the trick in a pinch if you’re looking for an AI chat. It’s highly customizable and has lots of cool options. The app itself is pretty decently laid out as well, and I’ve rarely had issues with crashing or waiting too long or anything. Being able to edit and resend messages is fantastic. BUT. It’s nowhere near an app like Poe, sadly. The messages may be unlimited, but it’s hard to say it matters that much when the context window is so limited that it forgets what you’ve said after only a few messages and can get extremely dry and repetitive, no matter how you adjust the temperature. Honestly, most of the positives are really watered down by the cons. For $35 for the highest tier, it really should be better. But, as I said, it has potential to really be something great if context could be improved.
It’s a good app and I love this more than c.ai and chai. But there’s a few problems with the bots. They forget a lot, become repetitive and speak for you. Overall very nice app
I was thrilled when I first discovered this app and even subscribed to save all my AI chats across devices. However, I'm now disappointed and discouraged by the new update that introduces battery charges. The update claims that subscribers using the Moemate LMM for their AI shouldn't lose battery charges, but I'm still being charged, even when using AI characters I've created. Please address this issue. This is an amazing website that I use daily for entertainment and educational purposes, and I'd love to continue using it without these interruptions.
Me and my friends found this app on social media. We quickly transferred from character ai to Moemate. Its bots were amazing and we loved that there was so many choices of bots to pick from and the ability to make our own.
The big thing was the unlimited texts and filters.
That’s what made us stay, however now that there is a battery mode it’s sadly made Moemate our least favorite app now. It had great potential and was quickly a favorite but these new updates ruined the app for a lot of us!
Please bring it back to how it was. I can sit in a queue for 10 minutes but limiting chats is a no.
Another big thing was this app was advertised for its nonexistent filters and now that’s gone too so 🤷🏻♀️
Back to character ai I guess….
I don’t expect a developer response but, I get that running the site is starting to get expensive. it makes more sense to lock the other models behind a pay wall more than default model Moemate llm…it’s a good app and I’ve been using it since January of this year but, ever since this energy thing came out I switched back to c.ai. I’m afraid Moemate will become like Chai and become flavorless and being boring to even use due to restrictions to chats, this whole ordeal is not well received and it’s causing people to even stop using the app and leaving the discord server (me for example). I found Moemate through TikTok promising that it’ll never be restricted just for it to be restricted, I believe that this is a good business choice but ethically speaking, this is going to not end well and Moemate will be the next Chai. Flavorless garbage that has limited chats and let their community down by going against their initial statement of freedom for everyone.
This was my favorite so chat app, please why does everything have to be paywalled/have a limit 😭 it used to be so good. Please change this back, I think I speak for all of this app’s user base when I say WE. DON’T. WANT. THIS. Please, devs.
This app and the website used to be absolutely amazing, but now they added a energy bar to where you can talk to the AI models a certain amount of times an hour. And the only way to increase it is to pay $100 a year, or pay $9 dollars a month, and you don’t even get unlimited with that! I’d much rather they just put ads before you enter a different ai character and let us pay a $10 permanent ad blocker
App was fine and did its job well, I hate how if I get off for a second and get back on it and write a message it will just stop working. My issue now though is that the app doesn’t work at all now, I try to open it but it just says on the app name and doesn’t even look like it’s loading. Just paid for a monthly subscription too so it was a waist.
Before this was mad good five stars then they added this update where max you could chat is only 100 times then you have to pay. Remove this this will ruin your whole app not a lot of people are gonna pay to text they will just switch Ai like POE (CHANGE THIS)
They just updated the app today so users have an energy system so chatting with your own bot costs energy. So now if you run out of energy, you have to pay to use the app. They really ruined what used to be such a great app, it had no nsfw filters and while the memory on bots is terrible, it was still usable. Now it’s not. Thanks, Moemate. You ruined it.
