Wonderful Game, Woefully Bad Apple Attempt at Replicating Physical Controller
This game is wonderful and a playful take on the sideroller, but horribly hamstrung by the Dynamic Island when used in the presumably default landscape layout. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve died mashing a button on the left side of the screen that didn’t exist because my thumb was landing in the dead zone of the island without me even noticing. I really, *really* appreciate the developer going out of the way to support landscape and portrait gameplay, as well as zooming the play screen to get around this issue, but none of it fully compensates for the hardware. And let’s face it, most of us are not going to buy a game controller just to get around this issue with this game, as well as a bunch of other Arcade+ titles.
