Butter By Keba is a Harlem bred premium line of moisturizers and yummy fragrances designed to give you smoother skin while uplifting and soothing your mood using the practice & technique of aromatherapy and perfumery. A unique combination of plant-based ingredients infused with a thoughtful application of phthalate-free fragrance and natural essentials oils gives birth to a dynamic line of products appealing to every nose. Cleaner, simpler body care and fragrance to us means fewer ingredients; free of phthalates, sulfates or parabens. We specialize in blending classic memorable fragrances from an aromatherapeutic perspective using plant extracted emollients such as as rice bran oil and shea butter. Our products are designed to be 2-in-1, nourishing conditioners for the skin with subtle long-lasting fragrance for your senses. We take a holistic approach to creating a head-to-toe aromatic experience. 10 years ago I was looking for an oil-based moisturizer to relieve my chronic dry skin and could not find one that worked and smelled great so I created my own with the help of a kitchen made product someone had given me as a basis from which to start. At the time I was working as a Real estate broker in a competitive New York City market. After taking a trip to Egypt and learning about the ancient healing art of perfumery I decided to explore it further in the classrooms of aromatherapy and perfumery schools such as the New York Institute of Aromatic Studies and Pratt Institute. And so, I took an additional month and half off from work as a real estate broker to create a full line of what I call deep moisturizing fragrances using the techniques I learned in courses such as "Aromatherapy for the skin" and "Natural Perfumery". Today the line is made up of a handful of custom designed blends across several products that include body butters, lotions, salt scrubs, perfume oils, colognes, hair serum and even a DYI manicure kit.
