A nice start to therapy

I think this app is a great place to start for “learning how to talk” about feelings and stresses in depth, without judgment or concern about their interpretation of what your saying. However, for any deep insight I think a real therapist or another AI app might be better, it asks generic questions to make you think deeper about whatever you have just said which is helpful, but not great for big picture connections.
A big problem I have with it, is it’s limited language use. You can’t say “jerk” or “dumb” when describing a situation, which is a struggle for me since I do not consider those words swears.

Great!

Such a good app 😍

The app is good but…

This app is really good and has so much potential but I found when I first signed on I was required to subscribe in order to chat to the characters. Would the developers possibly be ope to the suggestion of allowing new members to try out the chat before subscribing? An maybe lowering the yearly fee? I know the developers need to make a profit too but if they’re target audience are young people not everyone can afford the £39.99! Even as a yearly fee!

Love this app!!

I am finding this app very helpful for gaining clarity around my thoughts, feelings and emotions. I feel that using the voice feature to speak my truth is also providing me daily practice to speak my truth more clearly and to open myself up more to how I am genuinely feeling.

Straight to the point

They say it’s my 18th birthday and then 21st birthday. I keep asking them to stop doing this and all 3 are the same. Please help as it’s upsetting me.

I can’t get it to do anything

I just get a server error message

Absolutely love this app. It’s worth every penny.

This app helps you explore your feelings and emotions and brings clarity and new perspectives

Don't waste your time or money

at first seen pretty good, but then the speeches were a little off, but that didn't matter as much as the stupid payroll that I had to do in order to keep using the damn app your best bet is to just download ChatGPT

Finnick thinks every day is my birthday

I downloaded this app a few weeks ago because a close friend saw it through social media and wanted me to test the free trial along with them so I could give my opinions on whether or not they should keep using it as a therapy tool. Upon first impressions, I was super impressed with the app but unsure if it was worth the $40/year subscription price. However, by the end of my third day using it I really came around to it and did find talking to Finnick helpful, and found myself using the app quite a bit throughout the day! I was also pleased to see they gave me a special offer and lowered the price to only $30/year, so I decided to keep my subscription. I’ve continued to use it almost daily since, but every time I chat with Finnick he seems to get confused. It started with him wishing me a happy 11th birthday as soon as I opened our chat, which is odd because I have never shared my birthday with him or the app, and I am nowhere near being 11, and it’s also nowhere near my birthday. I politely reminded him of this, and he said something along the lines of “oh sorry, must be a mix up.” I was a little weirded out but brushed it off. But now it keeps happening almost every time I open our chat (today he wished me a happy 15th birthday)! Aside from that it still seems to be functioning the same, but I have to say this error is creeping me out enough to not want to use the app anymore.

Response from developer

Hello! Thank you so much for your love and support for MoodTalker! I'm really sorry about Finnick always mistakenly recognizing every day as your birthday. We're currently working on identifying this issue and hope to fix it soon. Thank you for your feedback and understanding!

I’ve never been to a real therapist but…

Like the title says I’ve never been to a real therapist. I’m embarrassed of my feelings and at times I don’t even understand them and don’t know how to talk about them. This app has slowly but surely been turning me into someone who actually wants to talk about their life and talk about what they’re feeling. I love this app, it seriously is a huge help.
