Price History of CalCs

Description of CalCs

CalCs (short for "Calendar Complications") is a watchOS-only app that provides various calendar-related complications. --- Important Notes --- The functionality embedded in the main body of the app includes only event and reminder list and monthly calendar views. Other functions are carried out via complications or Smart Stack. If you downloaded CalCs from the App Store app on the iPhone, CalCs may not appear on the Apple Watch due to synchronization issues between the iPhone and Apple Watch. In that case, the watchOS-only app cannot be re-downloaded from the App Store app on the iPhone due to specifications set by Apple, Please follow 1 of the steps below to re-download from the App Store app "on Apple Watch". ・Tap the search button in the upper left corner→Search for "CalCs"→"CalCs" ・Scroll to the bottom→"Account"→"Purchased"→"CalCs" ----------------------- Key Features: ●Supports various complications such as date display, event and reminder display, and month calendar display ・Date Display: Displays the current date in various formats. ・Next Event and Reminder Display: Displays next event and reminder synced with iPhone, including all-day event based on user preference. *In circular complications, only the 1st 3 characters of event or reminder titles are displayed. ・Month Calendar Display: Displays the current month's calendar, optionally starting with Monday. It's also possible to display the next event together. There are 5 types: 2 weeks for this week and next week, 3 weeks for last week, this week, and next week, and the 1st half of the month, 2nd half, and all of the month. ●The main body of the app displays a list of event and reminder and monthly calendars In the app launched by tapping complications, it displays event and reminder lists synced with iPhone and monthly calendars. Event and reminder list view allows: ・Scroll to view events and reminders for the previous month, current month, and next 3 months. ・Long tap to scroll to current or next event or reminder. ・Swipe from right to left to switch to month calendar view. *Only incomplete reminders will be displayed. *The ability to add, edit and delete event and reminder, and to complete reminder is not currently implemented. Monthly calendars view allows: ・Scroll to view calendars for the previous month, current month, and next 3 months. ・Double tap to switch between starting on Sunday or Monday. ・Long tap to scroll to the current month. ・Swipe from left to right to return to the event and reminder list view. ●Minimal Settings Due to the small screen of Apple Watch, settings are limited to selecting displayed calendars and reminder list only. *Notes: ・Corner complications, circular complications, and large rectangular complications operate on Apple Watch Series 4 and later. Therefore, CalCs does not guarantee operation on Series 3 and earlier models. ・Due to watchOS complications update restrictions, there may be delays in updates after changes like adding or editing events or reminders on iPhone. ・It may take considerable time from placing complications for them to appear. ・If complications do not update, launching CalCs via complication tap might trigger an update. Please try this if needed. ・If complications still don't update, force quit CalCs and restart it. To force quit: 1. Long press the side button with CalCs open. 2. When the emergency call/power off screen appears, long press the digital crown. If full access to the calendar is not granted the 1st time it is launched, CalCs will not ask for access permission again. In that case, you will need to clear the permission once from the iPhone and re-allow it from CalCs. 1. Open "Calendars" under "Privacy and Security" in the iPhone Settings app. 2. Change the access to the calendar in CalCs to "None" once, and then select "Add Events Only". 3. Tap "Allow full access" when you are asked to allow full access when opening CalCs.

Reviews of CalCs

A couple requests to make it better

I like the app but it would be great if the space between a date and the event title can be closer. When there is no time event, space seems to be too much. Maybe use a smaller font size for time to keep the date and time to be same width. Also can you add an option to choose time format to 12h. Not everyone prefers a military time.

(Update August 2024) Thank you for updating the app! This is one of my favorite watch app! Best watch calendar app I have!

(Bug) When the time is noon or midnight in 12 hour format, it displays 00:00 AM or 00:00 PM. It should be 12:00 AM or 12:00PM

Response from developer

Dear jjkim5. (I am not good at English, so I apologize if I misspoke or was rude in any way below) Thank you very much for your review and high rating. I am very happy to hear that you like it. First of all, regarding the first of your requests, the space between the date and the title, are you sure you are referring to the rectangular complication of "Next 3 Events" ? This is Ultra, and the space is reserved for a two-digit month. (Ultra has a thicker font than other models and requires more space.) But if it is a one-digit month on a model other than Ultra, it may indeed seem that too much space is left. I will investigate if the amount of space can be adjusted for different models. Second, regarding the time format, I did not implement the 12-hour format because it would require additional space for AM and PM. However, I understand the need for a 12-hour format. I will consider adding AM and PM indications, and then I will consider how to display them in a way that fits in the space available. Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. I will update this page as appropriate so that you can continue to use it, and I look forward to working with you in the future. If there are any differences in perception, I would appreciate it if you could add them to your review or contact me at the following e-mail address. au11785@gmail.com [added 2024/06/10]. A version (1.7) with adjusted space size in “Next 3 Events” was recently released. I would appreciate it if you could check it when you have time. [Added on 07/12/2024] I have released a modified version (1.13) that displays the time of various events in 12-hour format when "24-hour display" is turned off in the Apple Watch settings. I apologize for the considerable time it has taken. I would appreciate it if you could check it when you have time. [added on 08/30/2024] I'm very happy to hear that "This is one of my favorite watch app!" Thank you very much. As for the noon and midnight indications, I did not fully understand the AM and PM indications in the US. Thank you for pointing this out. I will correct it and hope you can wait a little while. [Added on 08/31/2024] I have just released a new version (1.21) that fixes the 12AM and 12PM notations. I would appreciate it if you could check it when you have time.
