Really? Forced Ads?

I got this game strictly to write a review about this. Are you kidding me? I loved playing this game on PC, having my own little guy to train up and quest with. Not to mention the dialogue options at the beginning of the game showing the great humor it holds. I was excited for the mobile port.

But then I see not just the fact that you are forcing ads upon your players, but that you don’t even provide an in-app purchase to remove them? You’re not some backwater ad-riddled cheapie you can find on the App Store, you’re a respectable game studio with a respectable, fun game. Don’t ruin it by forcibly taking away the time from players with something that can easily be remedied.

Taking a page out of PirateSoftware’s book, I noticed you allow us to watch an ad to speed up certain activities. Great! Another thing you can do is make, say, a fairy fly across the screen. Tap it, it’ll ask if you wanna maybe watch an ad and get rewarded for it? It will incentivize players to watch your ads because they’ll get stuff for it. Thor said himself that he’d watch every single one of those ads. Furthermore, there’s also always the option to remove those ads through a one-time payment.

Be better, Tamago. I’ve already counted you once, so please hatch into something great again.

Forced ads holding back the game

I won’t play a game with forced ads. I’ll buy IAP to remove them, but if it’s that’s not an option, it’s not worth my time.

This is a great game and I love the concept, but the devs need to rethink their monetization model if they want to draw in more players.

A Hidden Gem!

As a massive fan of V-pets, this game intrigued me. When it came out, I couldn’t have gotten it faster. I find that it actually makes for an excellent study buddy! I’ll send it to sleep for an hour or so and do some studying, then I’ll have it train when it’s time for a short break and go on a quest when I need a bigger break. The mechanics are fun and “Nekomancer” got a chuckle out of me and my friends. The old game console look adds a lot to the immersion. The art is really good and it’s easy to forget that the game only uses five colours when everything is so well shaded. Over all, if you’re a fan of V-pets and JRPGs, give this one a go! And please, let me know if you figure out who Pam is.

The game does have a few problems though. Since it’s early release, I’m sure they’ll be fixed soon though. When my hero is on a quest, every monster encounter is doubled and I can’t help attack or defend on the second one. I also can’t navigate the menu using the gameboy-esque buttons without interacting with the screen itself first after feeding it, and the buttons are also quite small and I miss click a lot. The game also crashes when you try to sell gear. I think it’s because of the holy charm and those other items?

P.S. I was stunned when I saw the Blahaj colour pallete. It looks really good and it made my day to see it! Thanks for making this! Sincerely, a trans man.

Amazing

amazing game! like really, keep ts up gango, I'd love to see more games like these! :)

There are forced ads

I didn't run into them for a teeny bit. But after every training sequence or quest, there's an ad. They're usually only a few seconds, but they are forced. You do have the option of watching an ad to speed up whatever you're doing, but I haven't done that (and won't). I really like this game so far, about 1.5 hours played between mobile and steam. I will gladly purchase this game again on mobile for the option to remove all ads.

fantastic!

this is such a well crafted game! i honestly didn’t have high expectations but regardless this game really impressed me. the tone is humorous and engaging without being over-bearing. the option to skip tutorials is a nice touch too on top of the fact that you can change the color palette! i’m a fan of idle games and this is a great mix between the idle genre and care-sims.

i hope that this game gets the attention it deserves! i look forward to seeing more! <3

If Tamagotchi was a RPG

Only been playing for a few days but it’s very enjoyable already. The quest/fighting system is super fun and effective. Only the occasional ad, not overbearing.
