  • Fun gameplay but way too difficult

I am a bit torn over this game. I love roguelike deck builders. Have beaten Slay the Spire and Dream Quest numerous times. I am always looking for something new and different. This certainly has enjoyable gameplay with building a deck of cards that you then use in a memory game to defeat enemies. My issue is that after a couple of hours of playing, I’ve only gotten past the prologue once. The amount of health you start with (10-12) is no huge, especially when there are enemies that are doing 4-5 damage on their turn. What’s worse than that are the events between battles. Almost every event does damage, takes away health, causes confusion or some other negative event. Even the treasure chests that you find are heavy damage dealing mimics a large portion of the time. In addition, the other roguelikes I have mentioned give you some means of retaining bonuses or leveling up between runs to help you do better. This does not. There is a shop that you can use to buy helpful boosts, but you can’t use it until after you get past the prologue. I would love to see the developers, make some changes to make it a little more accessible as a mechanic itself in battle is great.

  • Promising, needs a little work

Like the idea of memory matching in a rogue like. Could use a better tutorial and also wish it was full screen. Will dig into this more!
