Badgers you for “donations”

Either the app is free or it’s not. Having a pop-up interrupt what I’m doing to ask OVER and OVER for donations isn’t appropriate.

Response from developer

Hey! Sorry for the bad experience you had with this app. This is just me, one guy building and maintaining this app. The popup shows like 10 times for the lifetime of the app. Unlike other apps on here which track you, sell your data for ads or hide some features behind a paywall rdx for Reddit does none of this. I believe it’s fair to give users an option to support the app if they enjoy it. Of course, if donating isn’t for you, that’s completely okay—you can simply ignore the popup and continue using the app. The popup only shows a certain number of times before never appearing again. Thank you for understanding, and I genuinely appreciate your feedback. It helps me keep improving!

Is there no way to view subreddit sidebar?

Title says it all.

Great with room for improvement

Thank you for this great app. Few suggestions:

1. Single tap to collapse comments.
2. Full screen please. Screen real estate is really crucial. Those headers and footers can be hidden to allow more space for content.

Doesn’t work with vpn

Why do we need to disconnect our vpn to use this?

Response from developer

Thanks for your review. Reddit is blocking VPN IP addresses aggressively. You can search about it on Google.

Awesome app. Thanks.

Thanks for this wonderful app that allows us to browse Reddit. Might I suggest the ability to set a default page when opening the app. I’d rather have it default to popular instead of home. And if possible hiding scrolled posts would be awesome for those of us how lurk on rdx all day. Thanks for this app.

The Only Reason I Went Back to Reddit

As many others, I bailed when the ill-informed brass at Reddit killed Apollo. Now this app gives me another window into what’s left of the Reddit community, and it’s better than the Reddit App which is basically spyware. I love this app so far.

Awesome!

Overall, easy to use and great layout!

Clean interface

Quick easy way to browse reddit with no adds.

Great idea/poor execution.

It’s a great idea but once you start to refine it and make it “your” app everything falls apart. Missing ability to get out of a search (as of 7/2/24). Not able to follow any subreddits though that’s its big selling point.
It’s free so I guess try, maybe it will be usable at some point.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience with rdx app. Regarding following subreddits, you can easily do so by navigating to the subreddit page and clicking the icon in the top right corner. There, you will find an option called 'Subscribe' at the bottom. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the search functionality. Could you please provide more details on the issue you're experiencing with getting out of a search? You can elaborate here or reach out to me directly at itsavadhesh[at] icloud.com.

No idea how to import subscriptions

Everything about this app touts the ease of which to import your subscriptions. There doesn't seem to be any guide in the app and I found some developer forum that had instructions that simply didn't work. Hey developer; please make a simple YouTube video I can follow along to so I can give you five stars! Thanks!
