Impressive beginning
I just downloaded the beta, which used my account to find the libraries held on my local server. The response was quick! I like the organization! This is a big leap from the Photos tab within the Plex app! Thank you!!!not.yours

A good start
It’s a good start I just wish they could give the ability to move photos from the mobile device directly to the plex library. It was possible before.Rahssan
Plex is dying
This app is 100% useless. I figured it may actually be a camera app that communicates directly back to my server. Nope, it does the exact same thing as the normal plex app. Don’t waste your time. Plex, get your life together. You’ve released nothing new of any use in years. Too barebones
A little too light on the features. As far as I can tell, there’s no real reason to separate this from the main app. Nothing new is offered here. No mobile sync, no editing features standard with other photo apps, no slideshows like on other photo apps, no way to link with iCloud, Google Photos or other cloud services. I want to use Plex for photos, but it’s just too basic in its current state.Show lesscatchingsignals

Freezes
The App often freezes and I need to quit it and reopen to start viewing again. I have only loaded a handful of images to test it out, so this is concerning going forward.
I have high hopes for Plex Photos. Currently PetaPixel is the standard for self-hosting image galleries, and Plex Photos is very lacking when compared. I would love to one day see it actually become a little bit more featured rich app like PetaPixel, iCloud, or even Amazon Photos. As is, Plex Photos seems more like a distant afterthought to the Plex and Plexamp apps. Looking forward to future updates.Show lessbAd DeTeCtIvE

app. Please bring back the feature to upload pictures from your mobile device. we used to have that in the main app where we could sync with the server, I would love to see that come back.richir-rich
Beginnings
It will be nice to have a standalone app. Right now it’s pretty basic. Not sure what can be done to improve the library page but it’s pretty stark. Also I’d like to see a way of adding or displaying captions and await other improvements.Seen in Chicago
