I absolutely love playing HLM25, but there are a few issues that really hold the game back from being perfect. One major problem is the frequent crashes on my iPhone 11 that erase all of my progress, which is incredibly frustrating, especially after putting in a lot of time. The game also loads much slower compared to HLM24, which takes away from the experience. Another improvement would be a better way to compare stats when hiring a new coach versus sticking with your current one. Right now, the process feels a bit clunky and could be more intuitive.
Additionally, it would be great to have a feature that allows you to set a custom save time when you leave the game—like being able to save every day or on specific dates (e.g., July 29th, 2025). That would really help with managing progress. Also, as a free-to-play player, I think the maximum number of seasons should be raised to 10, which would make the experience much more enjoyable without feeling too limited.
Overall, the game has great potential, and I enjoy it a lot, but these issues keep it from getting a higher rating from me. If these were addressed, it would easily be a 5-star game
Been a huge franchise guy all my life and had always played the Ea games for a decent sim. Got to be so frustrated and found this game along the way. Started in 24 but after playing 25 for the last couple of weeks I simply cannot express enough of how well thought out and detailed this game is. It’s simple but does provoke some thought the amazing new additions. Absolute recommend for hockey fans, sports fans for that matter. Shout out dev hockey fans don’t deserve you
Like the game, but so many issues with editing. Every time I try to add awards for players, the app crashes and nothing is saved despite notifications that played have been updated. Also, when trying to edit affiliates for leagues, I have a major team that has two affiliates, and one team without any? Game crashes too much. Gives me baseball 24 vibes

Unbelievable game. Each version gets better and better. Developer will also listen and fix bugs as the year goes along.
This is so much more in depth than the last 10 NHL games you paid so much attention to detail and I appreciate that keep updated this and making good chances and what a great game
Not only is the game fun but the developer is incredible active, responsive, and committed to enhancing the user experience. I’ve been playing HLM for a few years and my best advice is to purchase the pro version. I haven’t purchased EA Sports in two years after getting this app - it’s by far the best “franchise mode” you can play.
