  • Keeps crashing

This is great when it works. It worked wonderfully when I first got it. I thought my grandson would love it and I was so excited to let him color his pages and see the "magic" we would do! Boy was I wrong!! The app would open and then as soon as the picture got the "correct" screen, it closed. This happened repeatedly until I got so frustrated I deleted it. Not sure if I will reinstall it again or not. I felt really bad disappointing my grandson that will soon be 3 years old. :(

  • Great, but...

This app has been beyond helpful, informative, incredible, and fun! But it keeps crashing after each change. Also, it won't acknowledge the devices that are all synced to the same account, so I can't use the images I have paid for on any device except the original.
  • Ash

I saw it before and it was cool
But when I download it on my iPod and then I pressed the app and it was loading and it shut off 😡
  • Needs some work

What a great concept. Went to website and printed out a pack of pictures. Loaded app on iPhone 4 and iPad mini. Got my 5 year old to colour picture of a girl and promised something interesting would happen after. So far, so good.

Opened app. Actually I TRIED to open the app. Doesn't load on iPad. Opened on iPhone. Crashed. Tried again. Success! Pointed phone at picture - which informed me I had not bought the picture pack. £1.99 later I was ready again. Crashed. Tried again. Small birds eye view if girl appeared. Music. Girl didn't do anything. Pressed girl icon on page - nothing. Sometime later it transpires that the girl dances. There is a speech bubble by her head. Why?

Trie the dragon one - much better. Try first without colouring to see if it's worth spending time on it. It flaps. You can see your hand behind it. But it is anchored to the paper so you cannot have it flapping on the blank table. The house one is nice - press dog button and the dog runs out of the house barking.

So (long review) I am going to persist, my daughter thinks its cool. The pictures are good to colour anyway and the app shows promise if it would just stop being so buggy!

  • Excellent App! Very entertaining for kids and adults!

    Great app.
I can imagine what is coming next in the tech world, what sort of toys we'll see very soon.
    This is entertaining! Try!!
  • A work of art

This app is outrageously cool, my children saw their 2d colouring in page spring into life via the app. Very highly recommended app, very easy to use, just frame the completed page and parts of the page are rendered in 3D.
  • Frustrated

I am a teacher and was trying to use this app to enhance a lesson. I had downloaded and paid for the full version of the app a while ago, but when I tried to use it today with students, it kept crashing. I tried to reinstall it again, but no longer have all of the pictures available to me. I tried to contact ColAR through their web site but there is not a way to do so. Help!

  • So far, amazing!

I haven't experienced any of the problems mentioned previously, yet. My youngest daughter (4yrs old) thinks it's amazing! Only £1.99 for the first pack of pictures is not too bad I think.

Hopefully all the issues have been sorted out as the girls are amazed so far.
  • Great app

The first time I tried it, I was thrilled at how good it was, especially the animations, and that’s from someone who’s reasonably familiar with AR. When I showed it to my 4yr-old niece, her eyes nearly popped out of her head. Great way to get the kids quietly colouring things in on a rainy Sunday! Though it does mean I keep having to hand over my iPad so she can check on the progress of her latest masterpiece. That said, it also works fine on my iPod Touch 5th gen, but the 3d really pops out on the larger screen.
£1.99 per 6 pages is, in my opinion, perfectly reasonable. Developers have to eat too, and this sort of in-app purchase cost pales in comparison to some of the rip-offs out there (I’m looking at you, EA Games).
I really like it, and have recommended it to all my friends who have kids.

  • Less than 1

I previously paid for the upgrade pages and just spent hours with my daughter and nieces coloring pictures only to have the app say I'd have to pay again. I don't think I have to tell you how frustrated I am or how disappointed these kids are. I realize it's only three dollars, but it's three I won't be paying again!! I'll also be letting all my fellow teacher and parents know about this problem...so disgusted!!!
