Disappointed
I’ve been playing this game since 2016, it used to be the game I looked forward to playing, I remember waking up excited to play and improve my monsters. The new events and monsters were amazing, and held a prestige where I wanted to grind to get them, however since recently starting over due to losing my progress on a device that I didn’t sign into with any account, it’s been a complete mess. The adds that never existed before now ruin every moment, the endless stream of useless bs that pops up destroys any chance to feel engaged in the game. Honestly it killed any desire i had to play, after realising this game is just a cash grab, rather than an actual game which is understandable but it sacrifices the chance for me and probably many others to play as well as the fun factor that used to accompany the game.

A decent game with problems
First of all, I think this game is great, I picked it up about a week before this review and have been playing it everyday since. But after playing for a while I’ve noticed 1 frustrating problem. The wait times. I was picking two animals to breed and got incredibly lucky and started breeding a legendary monster, but my shock when the wait time said 1d19h, making me completely unable to breed any other monster for almost 2 days. Eventually it finished and I got an egg, my shock when the clock said 1d19h. Now I can’t use my hatchery for another 2 days. Eventually it hatched and (being a legendary - nature monster) I wanted to place it in a nature habitat, but no, you can’t. You have to buy a new legendary habitat to place it. They are sold for 2.5 MILLION gold. I didn’t even have that so I had to procure enough gold to even buy it which took a long while itself. So I then bankrupted myself buying it, making me completely unable to farm any food to level my monsters to fight (just so I could play the game). And imagine my shock when the habitat timer said 1d19h… ANOTHER 2 DAYS of waiting. This ONE legendary took me 6 days of being practically unable to play the game. I put the game down after this because, genuinely, I could not be bothered. Bad game design tbh. Other than this and the unbreedable monsters sat behind a pay wall the game is great…

Trash game
This game is not updating my version of they game but is updating others. What I mean by this is that when I was playing this game and just grinding it, my friend showed me his base/monsters I had saw that he had the Easter flip event and other events like the legends pass, but somehow I didn’t have any of those, even though I was higher level than him. I have tried deleting the game and re-downloading it to this seems something with the game. If I’m the only one that is being affected by this, please fix.

Updates
I used to play this game all the time when I was a kid but I ended up quitting due to numerous reason. One of the main ones were the updates. Most of them are unnecessary and completely change the game for no reason. For example, the colosseums?? We already have multiplayer, dungeons (which btw have been ruined by all of the new updates thru the recent years, especially this year), adventure maps and MORE. Another thing is the new multiplayer tournament update. I enjoyed the way it was a week ago and saw no reason to change the entire format. It makes me completely lose my will to play when the entire game changes every month or so. I know there are reasons for updating to make the game more interactive but this is definitely not the way to go about it. When I joined the game again after awhile I almost quit right when I saw it since the game changed so much. Also all of the ads, this game is desperate for money and it’s extremely obvious. The diamond islands, the cells offers, and more are all examples of this as well. One last thing is the entire cell thing. The way it’s set up so you can’t level up unless you get cells which 99% of the time is thru purchases rather than being able to get it some other way. The entire upper level of play is dependent on your money rather than your gameplay. Very disappointed in this game and I hope you update it in a more productive way next time.

Smashing game, matchmaking a bit off.
I’m fairly low levelled as I deleted the game and came back without my data (my fault though). I have a few epics and a legendary queued up but I get matched with people who have mythical upwards of level 100. This is problematic as it means I have to quit and lose trophies, meaning that I can’t get to higher ranks. It’d be better if level was taken into account as well as trophies. Other than that, the game is amazing, especially if you have other things to do. Epics take 6 hours to hatch which means you can go to sleep and wake up the next day with your epic hatched. It’s also possible to breed epic, legendary and even a small amount of mythic monsters, meaning the game isn’t pay to win. If you have a little free time and want some dopamine hits, download this game. It’s great. Thanks socialpoint!

Overpriced.
Everything in this game is severely overpriced. Battle pass, legend pass is very overpriced considering it changes twice or once a month. Maze coins are very overpriced. Monsters and runes that require gems for purchase are extremely overpriced. Example: level 10 rune is 2.3k gems. That’s over $130 for me for just 1.7k gems. It’s ridiculous. Nobody will ever get progressed into pvp without good runes and every free to play player would love to enjoy YOUR game. Do better with the prices please.

I love this game
I love this game but I think it’s missing somethings that probably need to be improved. As you know the game is mostly based on gold, gems, and food for your monsters and other stuff in the game, but this game mostly relies on gems and some players don’t have enough gems for those things. Instead of making gems sort of difficult to get, I think that you should make a system that every player can take and in that system you can open tiles to get gems, gold, or food like the bounty hunt, you could even add some fights that players and their monsters can fight if they open the wrong tile. Their would be one tile that can flip over and if that tile is lucky the player could get 100 gems, these gem chances will be low but not to low that player wouldn’t be able to get anything but maybe medium low so theirs a chance to get a great reward. The next thing you should change is making the game more free to play for players who don’t want to spend money on games. I hope you read this at least make the gem hunt I will be really happy if you just do that, have a great day I’ll review you soon again.

Little changes but amazing game!
Monster legends is definitely a great game. Although there is a bunch of stuff that can improve the game. For example, I think you should be able to convert gold into gems, say like 50,000 gold is one gem. Another thing I think you should add and improve on is breeding, like when I finish breeding but the hatchery is full I think you should be able to put the breeded egg into storage so you can start breeding again. The main reason for this is I am a little impatient and I can’t afford the breeding tree. Also I think you should make an option to make 10,000 food because when you’re upgrading your monsters to level 7 and above it gets really costly and 3000 isn’t enough. I think you should also make the 2nd island and above cheaper, cause like 2 mil! That’s an 1.6 million coin difference from the first one! If I’m running out of room on my islands and I need to expand I have to gain more then a million coins and that’s just not fair. One more thing I think you should add is, when your breeding and you don’t have enough you should be able to use the gems you do have to speed it up, like say I have an egg that takes 5 gems to hatch and I only have 4 I could use those 4 gems to make the waiting time only 10 minutes. Otherwise this is a great game and I give 4 and 1/2 stars.

Best game ever
I played this game for around since I was little and is still one of the best games ever I recommend you try this game out and you will not be disappointed I put this as 5 since it was my childhood game but I think the diamonds should be a bit cheaper but enyways I recommend you try this game out peace!

Monster legends will always be the best game
This is my whole childhood me and my cousin play it all the time. Monster legends is better then Pokemon and dragon city. You collect monsters of different rarity and biome. There is over 1000 monsters and they are all so cool I have a bunch of monsters from uncommon to mythic. It’s such a creative game and the devs did so well. I still remember the advert that came on my TV when my cousin and his family was around where it showed firekong eating tomato’s and then fighting and winning Against other monsters . It was sick. I have so many memories with this game and you can make memories as well. I also remember the original art style of firesour, greensaur, pandaken and treezard . I remember when the highest rarity was legendary. I remember going outside and pretending to play the game on the trampoline. I will always love this game. The call seasonal characters. Cool events. The fighting action is really quick and easy which makes it really good. Monster breeding and hatching is also really creative and cool. The in,y thing I would personally change about this game is nerfing mythic’s bc they are OP, going back to the OG artstyle of many of the monsters and stopping the seasonal passes. Besides those little details this game is over 5 stars and belongs on the mobile games hall of fame. Best most nostalgic most fun game EVER!
