  • Not very good

Absolutely no Canadian content. Useless for anyone flying outside the USA. Please get Canadian content.
  • Easy to use!

Best moving map GPS software I have ever used! ForeFlight is waaayyyy to complicated to use in flight. This software changed the way I fly for the better!!

I highly recommend every pilot use it!
  • 2 things holding back 5 stars.

Only two things so far that’s holding back 5 stars for me is 1. One button night mode and most important 2. Annotation on plates, and a scratch pad. Works pretty good. Just like having my iPad on my kneeboard but also need somewhere to right directions from ATC.
  • Simple and Works

Been using the app on iPad as well as iPhone since it was introduced. Just can’t beat the simplicity and ease of use.

Set start and finish then rubber band your route wherever you need and waypoints are created as you go.

I find that I use it on my phone most of the time as it gives me all the navigation data I really need and is easier to handle in the cockpit.

App is packed with features and support and development is outstanding!

  • Like having a copilot

When paired with an ADS-B system the configurable audio alerts for traffic, airspace, and terrain really make this a stand-out EFB for VFR flying. Without audio alerts one has to essentially include the screen of an EFB in one's scan. With audio the frequency of looking at the screen reduces to whatever is needed to cross-check course. I no longer use my copy of WingX because it is too demanding of my visual attention.

  • Simple, and that's a good thing

This is a very simple app with a relatively basic set of features. It doesn't have all the bells & whistles that Garmin Pilot and Foreflight have, but that's a good thing. It's perfect for, say, taking the Cub or LSA by yourself over to the next town for pancakes. The charts are razor sharp (I mean really, really nice) and the app is very easy to manipulate in flight. Despite its simplicity, the app still gives you all the information you need: TFRs, weather, SUAs, rubber-band planning, terrain warnings, flight-plan filing, etc.

When flying the Beechjet under IFR into Atlanta with another pilot, I lean towards Pilot or Foreflight. But when flying VFR by myself at 100 knots, this is my go-to.

  • Close but, no Cigar

I downloaded iFly GPS and took a few days to look it over and run through its features but, after realizing the program wouldn't work with my iPad 3 WiFi using an external Dual 150 GPS, I ended up deleting the app and going back to my WingX program.

If in the future iFly GPS decides to incorporate ALL the Dual external GPS devices, including the 150, I may give them another try.

  • Best in flight GPS app

I've used all the others (Foreflight/Garmin/etc..) and none compare to iFly. The folks at Adventure Pilot are constantly innovating and adding app updates with more features. It's a top notch tool that does all it promises and more.
