Beautiful game ruined by terrible controls
This game is beautiful to look at, the sounds are great and create an unnerving atmosphere, but the controls....are so so bad.
In the early game it’s not so bad, but later in the game when puzzles require pinpoint accuracy and timing the fact that you can’t press anything to grab something rather than run into something, or the touchscreen mistakes a “swipe up” for a “jump off” into a pit of spikes makes for a frustrating gameplay experience.Show lessNormal IPhone user

If your good at gaming then the controls are no issue at all.
This is one of the best games I’ve played in the App Store for years. If you like a platform game with puzzles then this is definitely for you. I really enjoyed this.

DO NOT BUY IPAD version
The iPad versions controls are poor at best and some of the levels are very hard and will require you to repeat numerous times before success. I have finished this game on a computer many times and was quite disappointed in the poor controls set up on the iPad.Thor77666789
Still Five Stars.
This game was a lot of fun. I absolutely loved the animation and the general concept, which is a boy who seems to find himself in limbo and is progressing toward something, which we find in the story is a little girl.
The puzzles are great - not too difficult, but also not too easy. There is a healthy progression of difficulty too, which makes the game even more fun.
The only negative things I can say about the game is that it seems a little short (I really just wanted more!) and there was an aspect of the ending which I thought could have been better.

When the boy seems to escape limbo, it would have been better if the world he awakes in and the one in which the girl is living has some natural color. It would make sense seeing as he was in limbo and somehow escaped.Show lessjacobyte84
Perfect game
Everything about this game is perfect. The level of difficulty is just the right balance between frustration and rewarding, there’s no repetitive tasks every little segment is its own unique challenge that is different enough from the last that you need to stop and think about how to solve it and what exactly it is that needs solving. You’re never forced to restart the task too far back and so you don’t find yourself repeating huge chunks of game play to get get back to the same point. The graphics are simple yet beautiful and totally Immersive. The controls are intuitive and easy to work out. My only minor complaint was that the ending was not as satisfying as I’d hoped. It’s slightly confusing and doesn’t conclude or explain much at all... but then that didn’t make it any less fun to play.Show lessmariess
It’s super good
This game was amazin! graphics, storyline, gameplay, it’s just the best, it may be complicated and so called “hard” but that’s what makes it fun. The searching what to do next and the feeling of accomplishment when completing a puzzle, it’s just an amazing game, the only problem I have with this game is that there isn’t a second part! Great game except...
This game is great. I am not gonna lie I haven’t played a game that is so good for how silent and Erie. The fact that this game has a story you depict yourself is also something I never would have thought of. The controls are the only bad. It’s hard to pull things and there’s no way to know your successful on grabbing and pulling it is if you see it. If it was easier to do that and you didn’t have to sit for an hour trying to pull a cart then there will be a better game here. I still do like it I’m just stuck because of this mechanic.Show lessTanreel
A masterpiece of a game!!!
Limbo is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I love the puzzles, creativity, atmosphere, etc. I finished the game a couple of years ago and was just inspired to play it again after finishing Inside. I had almost forgotten how phenomenal this game is! Every detail is impressive. Not sure why some people complain about the controls though. I think the controls are easy and intuitive. Anyone who loves puzzles and logic games should try this! It really is a masterpiece!Show lessQclan3
Not worth it
I got the game, because I saw other people play it, and it looked amazing. The atmosphere and general feel is amazing, but controls, and one part of the game, isn’t.
At the start of the game, it takes years to get used to the controls, which half of the time don’t even work. They’re also incredibly unforgiving.
There’s a part of the game that I’m up to, it’s the 19th part of the game. When the room starts flooding, I can get to the ladders, but I can’t jump off of them and onto the pipe. I can climb onto the pipe, but the worm makes me turn back, and I jump into the water. This makes that part impassable, and I can’t play the rest of the game.
This may have something to do with the controls, or something else, but I literally can’t get past it.
I’m not sure if it’s me, or something else.
