St. John Off the Beaten Track App now offers an offline as well as an online option designed specifically for the user who is actually on St. John. Keep in mind that St. John is still an “off the beaten track” destination and cell phone reception can be spotty, intermittent or nonexistent in many areas. Furthermore, interference from cell phone signals from the British Virgin Islands, especially on St. John’s north shore, may override local transmissions, resulting in areas where the user would be roaming internationally. Now the user can access all the most important features of the app even in areas without sufficient data connections. The offline version will be updated when the user returns to an online connection so that the information obtained offline will be current and up to date.

Reviews of St. John Off the Beaten Track

  • Doesn’t work. Waste of money

App doesn’t function properly nor does the link to support. Wasted $4.
  • App Support Link Not Working

Also, support link in App Store isn't functional. Fix this, as well as prior problems reported, and I'll buy again!
  • Great for the Visit - Needs Updated

The info serves its purpose well and served its purpose but it needs updated. Much of the copy has formatting problems.

It also needs a way for users to submit updates. For instance, Brown Bay beach sounded like a beautiful place worth the hike. In reality, if your destination is the beach for swimming and snorkeling, forget it. As of July 2019 the beach is a putrid, seaweed-infested, dump.
