  • App includes IR filter love it

We've all had that remote we wondered if it was working. This App allows me to conveniently rule out remotes as the source of my problem using only my phone.
  • I use it almost every day.

I work in AV at a college, and when I need to do a quick audio test, phase, or send some images to a projector with hdmi or VGA adapters, this app works perfectly. Also the new resolution detector is great when troubleshooting.
  • Stupid

Needed an app that produces pink noise. This app does that but when I minimize this to bring up my analyzer , the app stops the pink noise. How can I analyze what it happening if I don't have pink noise ? ? ?
  • Useful little app

As an AV commissioning engineer, this app is very useful, especially when testing on site. I got a VGA/HDMI adapter for my iPad Air and I am using this app to generate various audio and video signals for testing. I would suggest adding the standard pin-outs for each connector in the app's library and, if possible, an EDID manager function.

  • Excellent Prodct

This app is very useful for new or aged av techs. The IR ability alone is worth the download. Cable information can be very helpful for anyone who needs a reference while in the field. Also, the ability to check l/r or in/out of phase signals is perfect for troubleshooting. Great job! All of our techs use this- Carl Lowrance. Lowrance Sound Company.

  • Superb!

We use this most days for audio proofing. If there's a way to do a 5.1, 6.1 & 7.1 tester, we would be most grateful!
The AV tester is a tad frustrating we can never get it to work when under pressure (or the client is present!!!) carry on inventing Apps please! RECOMMENDED to all Sound Engineers & equiv.

  • Useful, could use more...

I'm getting started in the AV Industry and using this app has already been beneficial to me.

My favorite is the cable information. However, I would find it easier and much better if there was a wikipedia link along with the selected cable.

The song, I would rather change.

Not sure if it's at all possible to be able to switch resolutions, but if it is, that would be even better!

Overall, it's a great side tool. Looking forward to more options and tools!

  • Use it all the time!

Great app. Replaced the many tools I used to carry around for testing audio/video quality. I always have my phone so everything I need is always with me. Audio left/right and phase test have been most helpful!
  • Great but lacks

Got the app a while ago and love it ... However it has its flaws

In video - great idea if you have the adaptor to test signal even comes with a video to test full hdmi however in use still won't replace a good siginal gen due to the inability to test multiple resolutions but for a quick signal test it works instantly

In audio - the reason I got the app left right center color noise phase test and spectrum sweep work brilliantly my only complaint is the "song" is horrible I would love the ability to use music on my phone or chose another test song

Tools - never really have used them too extensively or had the need for them but in playing around they work good

Cable - love it good library some facts mislead but 99% spot on always good to have a ref card

In all 4/5 great app for the on the go a/v tech

  • Great app, but...

I like everything about this app. It is laid out nicely, has a lot of valuable AV tools. The audio features are great. The only problem I had is I could not get it to send video out. I am using an iPhone 4. I tested my cables, projector, and output adapter to VGA via a different app and had no problems. I then open AV Aid and got nothing. Any suggestions?
