Leave a Review Smile App Launcher
Clean and does the job!
It’s the only free minimalist app launcher on iOS, so automatically a plus. This was genuinely easy to set up, the way it utilities Apple Shortcuts is clean and quick, and I like the customisation options too.
It feels a lot less overwhelming to look at my homescreen - I didn’t even realise I was overwhelmed by it until I got rid of it!
In the future I’d love to see more than 2 widget “pages” being available, but despite that, this is already helping me avoid mindlessly opening apps and scrolling. (If I had more widget pages, I’d be able to add all my essentials and completely ignore the App Library & search function. Right now if I need a different app I just search for it, no harm done. :))
Thank you for making this app, I hugely appreciate your time. It’s made my phone nicer.Show lessAn (Almost) Perfect Launcher
I LOVE this app and is something I’ve been looking for for a long time to replace a minimal android launcher I used in the past.
The layout and structure is simple in form and function, but the instructions in app are a bit unclear. I was able to get it all figured out quickly, and I’m barely tech-literate beyond functional use, although have worked with basic shortcuts before. Just takes a bit of problem solving and close reading to make sure you’ve properly got each step. I don’t think you’ll get anything better from similar paid apps. (A big thank you to the developer for sharing this freely!)
Only downside is that I wish there was more than two widget groups to work with, but not sure if that’s limited by Apple or not.
To avoid the clunky launch transition from the short cuts (inherent to Apple, NOT due to the app), turn on ‘Reduce Motion’ in Accessibility.Show lessDoes exactly what I wanted
Does for free what other apps charge for. Somewhat finicky to set up and I would love the option of spacer widgets if possible. Otherwise awesome!
