  • Needs speed

I like the app. I’d like it even more if there was a way to increase the speed of the audio.

Hi Mcumberbatch, Thank your for sharing with us your experience. "Wuthering Heights" happens to be one of my favorites. Most books have multiple versions of recording. To find a version I like, I just use the 'Catalog' and search for "Withering Heights", and then sample the audios to decide which one I like most. I hope you will find find an alternative version in the catalog. Sincerely, Your developer
  • Time wasting

Dont waste time with this app
  • Audiobook lover

There’s simply no other way to say it, this app rocks
  • It’s free and OK

Mostly, we get what we pay for.
Couldn’t find audio in another language.
Some of the readers have annoying voices and dodgy pronunciations.
This is a free app so I cannot complain.

Dear layla, Thank you so much for sharing with us your experience. (1) To change the audio playback speed, tap the 'gear' icon in the bottom-left corner of the app home screen, and then slide the playback speed slider. (2) Librivox audio books are read by volunteers. Often the same book may have many different editions by read different readers. Maybe you could try different editions and find one that suits your preferences. Thank you again Himalaya-soft support
  • This app

Had this app on my nook tablet, then on my iPhone 4. Since upgrading to more phones, caught up in other things forgot how I missed audiobooks. While life has changed and slowed down a bit. I finally got to download again. Indispensable app not just because it’s free but for content. It has helped me with my own short stories and poetry. By taking a journey back to literary classics. Take the leap , let your mind escape and read or listen.

  • Needs improvement

I paid for this App and also have given a lot of feedback and the developers are listening and making changes. Wait till you see new upgrades before you judge to harshly. I have asked for changes to the lock screen so you can advance or backtrack, show the CD art in the librivox site, and the duration timer. If that I will be super happy!!

Hi Bill In the newly released version we have implemented most of your suggestions, which made the app so much better. Thank you so much for your suggestions. We look forward to receiving more feedback from you. Himalaya-Soft Support Team
  • Disappointed in IU and content

When the app was described it sounded as though searching would be full and simple. When tapping on favorite narrators, nothing happens. There is not a complete subcategory listing under different genres like in my free LibriVox apps. My fault for being sucked in by marketing. I should have read more of the reviews.

  • New bug introduced

First time I've used this pice of junk for two years, so downloaded new versions of several pices of software. Fairly typical update - ie: it's worse! The clunky tape-style rewind/fast forward control has been replaced with an even clunkier slider. Also fails at chapter boundaries with an "internet unreachable" message - even though I am listening to downloaded books while not connected. Never a problem before! The real problem, of course, is that Apple stuff, despite what the b@stards at Apple might think is yesterdays tecnology and no-one is bothering to properly maintain or improve software for thir antedeluvian products.

  • These are not free.

Very misleading term "free". This app merely offers samples of audiobooks which require purchase for you to complete.
