Best game in this genre!
Between the pandemic and the depressing nature of the news these days, I’ve spent a lot of time in the past few years playing games of this genre, and this is absolutely the best one. It’s very similar to another game (which I won’t name) I’ve had on my iPad for quite some time, in which you’re an agent guiding a group of women through their careers. But this on keeps all the good elements of that older game and none of the bad ones.
Yes, you can spend money to progress, but you don’t have to, because there are ample opportunities to earn all the game cash, energy, diamonds, and stars you need to accomplish all the tasks in the game, all without spending a penny. And yes, that means watching ads, but you get to choose when to watch those ads. There are no “ad breaks” to annoyingly interrupt your game play every few minutes.
My favorite feature is the lucky wheel. In most games which involve a “wheel of fortune” element, you get the distinct feeling the wheel is rigged against you. Not here. There are 12 slots on the wheel, and when you hit one, the wheel won’t stop there again until you hit the top prize (30 diamonds), at which point it resets. You get one free spin after each reset, then can spin again up to 11 more times (or until you get 30 diamonds) by watching ads. There’s no cool-down period, if you want to watch ads all day and keep collecting rewards, you can.
Pro Tip: Collect more than 800 energy before you play the board game to take advantage of the x25 multiplier – it really helps.
Kudos to the developers, and I hope they’re earning enough ad revenue to continue to update the game and add new features and “clients” for years to come. I’m going to need this game to escape to for at least the next four years.
