It’s got all the good parts of a classic “mom” game (easy to pick up and put down, different modes of the same concept, clean and easy to follow UI, addicting gameplay) but the difficulty is much higher. As you play more and more, you develop different strategies for the different modes. It’s the kind of game that you can never really “master” because it really trains a skill over time so you’re constantly getting new, higher scores. Your opponent is none other than your past self, and you tend to win. There is still an element of chance, as you can’t decide what your starting letters are, but the distribution of the falling letters as you play is weighted perfectly so that you feel like you are in control of the board. If you use up all your vowels really early and only leave consonants (or vice versa), well that’s the only time it gets a little frustrating. But even that frustration comes with the knowledge that you kinda did it to yourself. Like “oh yeah I guess never using F’s Q’s or K’s is gonna leave more of them. Oops.” Overall, a really good game and very impressive that this is the developer’s first project on the App Store. I haven’t run into any bugs or crashes either! 10/10
