Hi Tracy, Thank you for your feedback. I want to clarify that the lifetime version you received for free is still connected to your Apple ID. If the premium features are missing after an update, you just need to restore your purchase. You can do this by going to the app's settings and tapping "Restore Purchases" in the Customer Center.
