And poof! Just like that one of my favorite scripture study apps is gone
Imagine this: as I was sitting in Sacrament meeting and wanted to pull up a scripture in Mosiah, and “the scripture app” I have loved since 2009? 2010 - using Spanish and English side by side is gone but something called Seer is in its place?
Not appreciating this. What happened to the app I am referring to? How can this paid for app get restored????

Greedy company stole everyone’s paid app. Many people paid for the app and now you have taken that away without giving anything in return. Change the app back the way it was. What wonderful things you have done for your pocket book. I will change my one star to something else if you move your paid subscription app to ANOTHER app. If you give me my app back. If you admit that maybe that was dishonest. At this time you are stealing. I shouldn’t need to be saying this. Please review the material that you are charging people to see. There are many verses that will rebuke you for your wrongdoing.

Original user for years, not Im deleting
Bought this app years ago to get free, unlimited access to reading my scriptures side by side in the languages I want. Now this company or app is being forced into a month to month subscription completely negating the unlimited access I paid for years ago. What a greedy thing to do for those that are trying to read scriptures.

I already paid $9.99 for this scripture app several years ago!
I paid $9.99 plus tax for this several years ago, and now because the creator changed the name of the app I have to pay $6.99 every month? I feel robbed! This also advertised as having the Arabic Book of Mormon, but it doesn’t. That’s false advertising.
Not a fan of the monthly charge upgrade
I purchased then used this app for many years and found the translation and pronunciation function very helpful. (I also encouraged many of my friends to buy it.) Now that function is gone, unless you pay $6.99/month. I was suddenly switched to a stripped-down free version called SEER. I’m not sure why can’t I just access the version I originally paid for?
Update: now I can’t even open the app. I think I’m left to deleting and reinstalling it.

Upgrade is a downgrade
I paid for this and now they claim I never had an account and I have lost functionality. Translation is gone and so is the ability to contact them. I’m NOT happy.
UPDATE: I received an email saying that they have unblocked the Contact Us button and that including AI in the Translate feature cost a lot. It also included links to contact the developer (404 Not Found error) and to update my review (my review isn’t on that page).
I just want what I paid for to function as it did when I bought it.

Updated review, they addressed a couple of my concerns and so I’m updating this accordingly.
I like the direction this app is going with facilitating language study better…but it is pretty clear that they didn’t test the Thai reading with someone who speaks Thai (which is probably hard to find). That being said…I think it is the right direction and something that has a lot of potential.

Crippled
I have loved this app and used it for years. I bought the app for its simple, yet excellent functionality. However this new “reimagining” of the app and rebranding as “seer” is extremely disappointing and unfortunate. AI is front and center in the app and for that privilege, you must pay a monthly subscription fee. I have lost functionality that I already paid for, such as audio for languages and much more. The free version of the app is severely crippled and barely worth using. I have steered many others to use the previous version of this app, but no more. I sincerely hope that the app developers are listening and make some changes, at least restoring the functionality for which we already paid.

Thanks for your feedback. Can you please share more about which features you are missing besides audio? The audio was a mistake, and we're going to add that back to the free tier. Please update to the latest app version and let us know what else you are struggling with. We want to improve this experience for everyone.

The claim is they fixed the audio, but as of 10/30/2025, the audio is not working for me.

I have used this app for many years. I love it. But sadly I can’t use it because there is no audio (I have hearing problems). Can this be fixed soon? Btw, thank you for this app! With it I have taught myself Spanish!
I have loved this app forever, but it’s not working anymore
I can’t download languages on this app anymore. It’s a heartbreaker. I’ve used this app for maybe 10 years on a regular basis and have loved it. Would love to get it fixed and continue using it for years to come. And I’d be happy to pay more as well.
Won’t open
All of a sudden app won’t open, it just keeps closing when you open. It. I tired to contact them for help but there is no way to contact them

I had this app previously, and it was great. This time the only language to load was Slovenian. How do you get other languages available?
