New in this release: The ability to save and then restore at any time a pre-selected rotation of the inner dial. This allows you to set a previously computed value such as a 1:9 Glide Ratio for best glide speed calculations. Ex. By setting 1 on the outer scale over 9 on the inner scale (the best glide speed glide ratio for a Cessna 172SP), you can easily see that at an altitude of 7000 feet AGL you should be able to glide approx. 10 NM in an engine idle scenario. You can save this reference by pressing the Save button and then restore it any time by pressing the Restore button even after exiting and then re-opening the application.

The E6B Descent Planner provides a fully functional circular slide rule for use in real time descent planning. Using one finger, and with a single turn of the rotating inner disk, pilots can easily perform calculations to determine top of descent distance, angle of descent, vertical descent rate required, glide ratio, maximum glide distance based on altitude, plus many other calculations that are not commonly associated with a mechanical E6B.

Outstanding, a real force multiplayer in the cockpit

This is a fantastic app, the ability to set ratios and angle of descent is far superior to any FMS that I have come across. I truly love that there are developers like this committed to advancing the art and skill of piloting without a stupid computer telling us what to do. This app is for the most important component in the aircraft, the pilots brain. Thanks again, and the white paper document is fantastic. God bless.

Just what I’ve been looking for

Both sides of the calculation can b performed in one move. It is so easy to use. Absolutely fantastic. If there was a tangible card wheel on sale I would buy it also.
