Worth it if a rugby fan
Massive credit to the developers here. Not perfect but very well done. Purchased full game for the 2024 game and again for this one. Lots of potential to get even better but very good.
Few Tweaks
This is great.

Great things - The players and teams and comps licensing is amazing. The ability to impact the game with decisions and substitutions is great. Also instant match is a great feature if you want to power through to finish a season. I like the easily changeable features for style of play.
Things that could do with tweaking - The training is weird and expensive seemingly for no reason. There is a problem with choosing your subs bench, it must be a bug, but I could t continue a season as I hadn’t signed another prop forward therefore could not continue with any game. This is where a youth set up/academy styled team would be perfect. I think this side of the game would transform it as you could sign up and coming players and give them exposure in the first time.
Ideas to make it even better - Test Rugby. The ability to coach and manage at test level would be the dream. I think it should be earned, not given straight away - imagine you have a good season with Bath and are given the option to go and manage Japan, Figi etc.
Or you could do like a build the nation save where you are Scarlets and Wales coach where you could try not to get the wooden spoon at the six nations (I’m Welsh btw).
Other thoughts - I know signing players in rugby isn’t as prevalent as it is in football, but having youth/ development squads would help this - and indeed potentially fund your club if you sell on a 21 gem to France.
Could there be the English champ? I know that’s a stretch but again it would allow you to bring teams up, build a squad to compete.
I think the in game is good but I think giving your team direction and a plan during matches would help. If you’re getting walloped by the Sharks could you sure up everything and try and hold out.
If you were to do international rugby I think this would then mean you’d have to have players caps on there records. More details on players past, potential, international squad call ups would be great.
I do genuinely think this is a great game but would play it a lot more if some of these things were implemented, and substitution bugs resolved.

Innovative features, Love it
Absolutely loving this game! It’s one of the best rugby management games I’ve played, with a solid mix of depth and simplicity that makes it accessible but still challenging. The player training and development are great, and I love watching my team improve season by season. One thing I’d really like to see added is more customization options for teams and players, as well as the ability to expand my stadium. The transfer window is pretty fun, but it would be even better if there were more interactive negotiations with players and clubs. Overall, the game feels realistic, and being able to play offline is a huge plus. This game has so much potential and is already impressive—definitely worth downloading for any rugby fan!

User friendly and efficient

So Much Potential …
To start off, I think the game has the fundamentals to be great. i’ve always liked managers simulation games and to have one for my favourite sport is even better. I enjoy the game and have often found myself sitting, changing my team lineup and playing games with different set ups for hours. However, the game has a lot of problems that are standing in the way of it being great. The two biggest issues I have a player ratings and the training system. There seems to be some kind of bug where player ratings change randomly. Now I know player rating is changing per season is part of the game, but there seems to be an issue with some players ratings changing midway through the season before the season has even started. For example, I was managing the sharks and my 18 rated Vincent Koch and Bongi Mbonambi randomly dropped to 16 rated after the first friendly game??? Also I’ve had an issue with player ratings going up after a season and the dropping straight back down after the first match of the next season!!! On to the training aspect of the game. Simply put, I don’t like the fact that it can cost up to 220,000 to send a player to training, especially when there’s a chance of them failing the training! Either lower the cost or just have training for free but with a draw back like not being able to use a player for 5 weeks or so. Also, I’m not sure if it’s a feature or a bug, but I’ve had players randomly leave even though they still have years left on their contact. Now I’ve only had this happen with older players, so is this a retirement feature??? If so it would be nice to have some sort of indicator for how many seasons a player has left before retirement so that you can bring in a new player in advance. The 2D sim needs some work. I find that it has a big bias to the number 14 scoring all the tries, I’ve had games where my 14 has scored 8 tries??? Now other players do score tries but it definitely has to be better balanced. Also ive noticed that if a player of the bench scores points it contributes to the player they replaced rating. Finally just some quality of life changes, squads need to be updated as I’ve noticed some key missing players, for example Ethan Hooker and Jurenzo Julias from the sharks. Some more statistics would be nice, seeing top try scorer, top point scorer, top tackler etc… And make a bigger deal out of winning the league or a European cup, let us see how many we’ve won and potentially have an overall team rating that can go up and down depending on the players in the team or the team’s performances. Also it would be great be able to search for players by team, also would love to see the players nationality as well.

Needs significant improvements: does have good potential
Why’s Kurt Lee-Arendse missing? Really need to go over the game and fix some bugs, when on team selection bench numbers are repeated and messed up, noticed a few spelling errors, need to allow players to become free agents to make it more realistic, players need to retire/ regress in rating as get 34+ then younger players need to have potentials thus making the game more realistic and exciting. Why can’t i place a fullback to start fly half? Or i should be able to have a 6-2 bench split not always the traditional 7-3, training shouldn’t be costly effecting transfers, and why on earth should we pay £10 to have international players?! The game could be great, needs improvements before it can be classed as good ! Finally, why does it seem impossible to win on the 2D match sim? no matter who i play with and play against the outcome is a loss or draw, the 2D game needs major improvement as i can’t see who scored a try, i should be able to select other players to kick a conversion (ie 12, 15 etc) and lastly i should be able to see season stats such as top try scorers and top tacklers

Hi, thank you for your feedback. At the time of the player data build, Arendse's future was unknown and he is now off to Japan for a period. But we will be adding him to our next update. Players do lose ratings as the seasons go on and player do gain ratings as the seasons go on. So keep any eye out for that. You can also train your players to increase there attributes. Not loading after paying.
Downloaded the free version and decided to upgrade to the paid one. With paying £5 for it I was expecting the moment I had paid for the game to start crashing and then not even loading up. Overall so far has been a good game disappointed that I am now no longer able to use it. Might be some bugs with the game that need looking at to solve this issue.
