New Features: Improved and enhanced Zigbee Direct support is the major theme of this release. Now, the ubisys Smart Home app features a fully-fledged Zigbee OTA server! Use it to serve Zigbee OTA images over Bluetooth. This allows you to update your ubisys devices that are used in third-party systems, which do not roll-out ubisys device firmware upgrades by default. This means, you no longer need a ubisys G1 just to upgrade your ubisys devices. No matter what your favorite Zigbee system is, e.g. Samsung SmartThings, Philips hue, IKEA Trådfri, Home Assistant, Smart Home by Hornbach, AVM Fritz!, Zigbee2MQTT, or any other system: Always take advantage of the latest and greatest ubisys device firmware. What's more, the OTA server is not limited to ubisys devices alone. You may use it to serve any Zigbee firmware image. Just download the .zigbee.ota file to the "ota" directory in the ubisys Smart Home app folder on your iPhone or iPad and connect via Zigbee Direct. You can observe the download progress in the components menu. Please keep the app running in the foreground and the screen unlocked during the upgrade. And remember: You need just one Zigbee Direct enabled device, and this app can serve firmware updates to any device on the network, including classic Zigbee devices without any Bluetooth support. Another great addition to the Zigbee Direct capabilities of this app is seamless roaming. As you move out of Bluetooth range it will automatically find another suitable Zigbee Direct router to reattach seamlessly to your network. Finally, in this version of the app you may choose to explore just the Zigbee Direct device you are connected to or the entire Zigbee network. The former is convenient to make a quick setting on a single device that you are connected to via Bluetooth, e.g. change the input or output configuration of that device. Whereas the other allows you to create groups, scenes and bindings with a full view of the Zigbee network. Be patient when you are discovering a large network with many devices, though. Of course, we have also taken the opportunity to fix bugs, improve the stability and do some other house-keeping. If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to contact our support team via phone or email (http://www.ubisys.de/en/support/).

New Features: - Automation switches and push buttons: A new switch profile allows configuration compatible ubisys device inputs and Zigbee Green Power switches for automations. In addition, switches configured in this way can be used in Matter ecosystems via our Conflux Zigbee/Matter bridge that is built into the ubisys G1, which lets you switch Matter devices, recall Matter scenes, or influence automations managed by a third-party Matter controller. Currently, our devices C4, C2 mini, LD6, D1, S1, S2, J1, D1-R, S1-R, S2-R, and J1-R (running ubisys Zigbee Stack 4.0.5 or later) and switches based on the EnOcean PTM216Z (e.g. the corresponding EasyFit series) are supported. Notice that in addition to this switch profile a binding to the gateway needs to be added; existing bindings for the previously active profile should be removed - You may now deliberately (manually) create bindings between devices and the gateway. This is helpful, for instance, in case a switch shall not (only) be bound to peer devices in the Zigbee network, but (also) to the gateway in order to trigger automated actions or have the switch bridged to Matter - It is now possible to select scenes within automation templates in order to recall scenes from automations - Color loop: Tap on the color selection icon for more than a second to open the color loop menu. This menu lets you set a speed and intensity of the color changes that the device shall cycle through. In order to stop the color loop, enter the same menu again and select "Cancel" - Improved white tones: In the past we used equivalent color definitions to set white tones, even on devices that supported color temperature settings. On some models this could have led to a slight color cast, e.g. a slightly pinkish white. Now, color temperatures can be set directly for color lights, too, and the swatches for white tones will not be shown. Tapping on the color selection icon toggles between full color setting and color temperature setting. For devices that only support setting colors the earlier approach with white tone swatches in the color palette is still available. - Improved support for LD6: Choose from 23 base settings, which allow versatile configurations: Whether you have one light with six primary colors, or six individually dimmable lights, or any reasonable combination in between, like 1 x RGBW and 1 x CCT - just pick the corresponding configuration. This setting survives a factory reset and so you can configure your LD6 with this app via Zigbee Direct and then bring it onto the target network, e.g. Philips hue, IKEA Trådfri, Amazon Echo, Smart Home by Hornbach, Home Assistant, iobroker, etc. Experts may also want to define the primaries for perfect color mixing Bug fixes and stability improvements, including: - Time of day for scheduled actions might have been shown with an offset - Under rare circumstances there might have been connection failures for facilities that were reachable via P2P and directly in the local network at the same time - Scene switches that had only one scene configured could lead to an app crash when the corresponding menu was opened again; also, scene switches configured in this way would have been incorrectly displayed as unknown profile - Zigbee Direct support has been optimized in some areas If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to contact our support team via phone or email (http://www.ubisys.de/en/support/).

Support for Zigbee Direct 1.0 This is the first app ever in the App Store to support the brand new Zigbee Direct 1.0 standard! With it, you can get simple networks up and running without a gateway, or use advanced features for ubisys devices that are already on third-party Zigbee networks. For example, it can be used to change the input configuration, even if the main hub's third-party app does not provide for this. What is required is a device that supports Zigbee Direct. The Zigbee Direct connection to the app runs via Bluetooth, with a proven Zigbee network working behind it. One Zigbee Direct device is sufficient to create a network; classic Zigbee devices can be integrated, configured and controlled through this access point. Since the connection is done via Bluetooth, you need to be within range. The ubisys LD6 from firmware version 1.1.1 is the first device worldwide that supports Zigbee Direct. Our Zigbee Direct solution has been awarded the Golden Unit designation by the Connectivity Standards Alliance, setting the benchmark for compatibility and reliability. Other new features: - Output configuration for ubisys LD6 can be changed from the app. Do you want to control six dimmable light sources individually? Or one colored illuminant and a tunable white in addition? We offer 22 configurations that leave hardly any wish unfulfilled. Requires LD6 firmware 1.2.0 or higher - The operating mode of thermostats (heat, cool, automatic, off) can now be set via the app. - It is now possible to tap the on/off button of a device to switch it on only for a predefined time. The device is then switched off automatically after the set time has elapsed. - It is now possible to name additional endpoints and assign them to a room, independent of the building control. This is helpful to better display devices in the dashboard - Startup behavior in terms of switching state, brightness/level, and color can now be configured for devices that support these settings - Minimum and maximum levels can be set for dimmers, lamps, etc. (if supported by the device) - On/off transition times can be set for dimmers, lamps, etc. (if supported by the device) - New possibilities for ubisys devices with configurable inputs: On with timed off (staircase function, currently fixed to one minute), pushbuttons with "on" and "off" (previously only "toggle" was possible), setting of color temperature via pushbuttons (may require new device firmware for C4) - Icons for some device types have been updated Bug fixes and stability improvements, including: - Detailed color settings were no longer possible as a result of updating to iOS 13. - App layout changed in some areas as a result of updating to iOS 15 - Input fields in edit mode had a slight offset in some places If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to contact our support team via phone or email (http://www.ubisys.de/en/support/).

New Features: - For devices which support instantaneous demand (W) and accumulated energy consumption (Wh) you can now switch between the two by tapping on the value. Notice that some products will reset the accumulated energy consumption after a restart while others will maintain the value across restarts - For devices that support energy consumption metering but don't support instantaneous power metering (e.g. Philips EasyAir SNS300), aggregated energy consumption will be displayed by default - Now honoring scaling factors for metering values (results in correct metering values for sengled bulbs and OBLO smart plugs, for instance) - Aligned to new behavior of stacked views in iOS 13 - Now connecting to the ubisys push notification service via a TLS connection that uses a certificate, which is issued by a certification authority that is trusted by Apple. Before, this TLS connection was using self-signed certificates. After updating to iOS 13 these would no longer be accepted by Apple, and, as a consequence, push notifications would no longer be displayed in the app. - On the iPad, the navigation bar is shown automatically when the app starts in portrait mode. Also, tapping on the background image will show the navigation bar Bug-fixes: - Resolved an issue, which could result in connection problems when connecting to large facilities - Rectified an error, which would result in scene push buttons not being detected properly - Rectified an error, which would result in app crashes If you have any questions or comments please use our support email or give us a call (www.ubisys.de/support).

We have improved the ubisys Smart Home App for you. New Features: - If there is only one facility available the app will automatically connect (one attempt) - Display last activity time-stamp in detail views of the component list (for all devices) and tag devices with overdue inbound activity as "inactive" - Devices, which have not been completely discovered will be tagged in the component list such that they can be manually rediscovered using the device synchronization feature (requires Gateway Firmware 2.0.3 or later) - Manual device repair feature: Restore the configuration of a device based on its settings stored in the inventory. In the component list, swipe left on any row and tap on the gear wheel to start device synchronization in the direction from inventory to device. The opposite direction, refreshing the inventory based on actual device settings, is available by swiping down in the detail view of a component - Let a device identify: In the component list, swipe left on any row and tap on the flag; all logical application endpoints will enter identify mode for 10 seconds. For instance, the S2 would toggle both its outputs once per second. It is also possible to identify specific endpoints by swiping left on the particular endpoint in the detail view of the component and tapping on the flag. This feature is also available in the endpoint selection view presented when creating bindings or groups. It is also possible to identify an entire group by swiping left in the group list and tapping on the flag - Now showing manufacturing date and software build identifier in the component detail view - In the building control, unnamed devices will now be displayed using a placeholder assembled from the serial number (EUI-64) and logical endpoint number - Occupancy state of thermostats is now displayed for thermostats supporting this feature, e.g. "eco-mode" of Legrand Zigbee thermostat 066340 - You can now use device-individual access codes for arming and disarming from security keypads. Please consider model-specific limitations such as the supported character set and number of characters. For example, the CentraLite Security Keypad 3400 does only support 4-digit decimal numbers. Bug fixes: - Rectified an error, which could result in duplicate entries in the inventory and as a consequence the inability to edit symbols - Improved display of the temperature range for thermostats - Rectified an issue, which could result in an app crash if a third party gateway illegally deleted the entire input configuration of ubisys components - Rectified an issue, where the app could crash if the facility selection view was closed without an active selection If you have any questions or comments please use our support email or give us a call (www.ubisys.de/smarthome/support.html).

We have improved the ubisys Smart Home App for you. New Features: - Simplified setup using only the app without having to use the web interface. Just scan the installation code on the bottom of the Gateway G1 with the camera of your Apple device and the app will be connected automatically. For this to work, your Apple device and the ubisys G1 must either be operating on the same local network or both must be connected to the internet. This will also setup remote access automatically. For a higher level of security, the previous approach is still available, which requires entering a PIN Code within a short time frame of five minutes - The alarm system now supports recalling arbitrary scenes in addition to triggering sirens and sending push notifications. For instance, create a scene for burglar alarms, which turns on all the lights in your house, or define a scene for fire alarm which lights all escape paths and also moves window coverings to their fully open position - Extended Support for Thermostats with leader/follower group function. For instance, it allows you to bind a Legrand Zigbee room thermostat 066340 to a channel of the ubisys H10, or bind a temperature sensor to a channel of the H10- Using the full screen real-estate on iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS - Improved support for legacy Zigbee Light Link smart bulbs, which do not support automatic reporting and which are not going to receive and update to Zigbee 3.0; when controlled from within the app, the app with actively query the current state of such lights once - UI face-lift (flat look) - Additional icons for on/off devices - Additional icons for thermostats Bug fixes: - Rectified an issue where the schedule configuration view inadvertently changed to the previous view - Rectified an issue which resulted in icons for window coverings not being displayed correctly - Rectified a couple issues which resulted in occasional app crashes No longer supported: - iOS versions 6.0 and 7.0 are no longer supported; the app now requires iOS 8.0 or higher For many of the new features to work, firmware version 2.0.0 or higher for the ubisys G1 is required. For alarm scenes, firmware version 2.0.3 or higher is required. If you have any questions or comments please use our support email or give us a call (www.ubisys.de/smarthome/support.html).

Price History of ubisys Smart Home

Description of ubisys Smart Home

The ubisys Smart Home app allows you to dim lights, switch sockets on and off, control shading, set a cozy temperature, setup a security system, measure your power consumption and many other things. Your data remains completely on the ubisys Gateway G1 and is never transferred to the cloud. This guarantees your privacy. Stand-alone operation in local networks for high reliability and fast response times; an internet connection is only required for push notifications and remote access. Even while on the road, the app always connects to your gateway directly - without taking a cloud detour. The same applies to automation templates: They run autonomously on your gateway reacting quickly and reliably to sensor notifications. The components form a wireless Zigbee network and can be operated by smartphone and tablet. Of course you can still use all existing switches to turn your lights on and off. Devices can also be grouped together and incorporated into scenarios of your choosing. With the push of a button you will experience the perfect feel-good atmosphere or the ideal working environment. Using the "Leave home" scenario you can switch off all non-essential consumers. Existing switches and push buttons can be configured to switch on and off various other consumers, dimm the lights, recall scenes etc. Countless options offered by various kinds of timers facilitate automating regular tasks, e.g. open the window blinds in the mornings and close them in the evenings or run light scenes during your holidays to simulate presence. As easy as setting an alarm clock. Even the most compelling automations can be realized using JavaScript modules, which run on the gateway. With our built-in bridge your whole system is even available to Matter controllers as long as both ends support a specific device type. To be able to use the app to its full extent you will require the ubisys Gateway G1 as well as an assortment of Zigbee components. Alternatively, this app can be used in connection with a Zigbee Direct capable device like the ubisys LD6 or S1-R Series 2 - without Gateway G1. Let our portfolio of professional ubisys Zigbee units amaze you: LED Controller LD6, Universal Dimmer D1, Power Switches S1/S2, Shutter Control J1, Thermostatic Radiator Valve H1, or Underfloor Heating Control H10 all integrate into a whole-home solution. They are flush mounted behind existing light switches, sockets, shutter controls and shutter boxes, or a simple power outlet and even put in a lamp - therefore totally invisible. Further variants are available for installation in fuse cabinets. All ubisys Zigbee components are kept up to date via wireless firmware updates. We also redistribute the latest firmware for devices made by third party vendors when such updates are available. The ubisys Smart Home platform is open to compatible Zigbee products of third parties. This includes certified Zigbee 3.0 products, including energy-harvesting battery-less switches and sensors built using Zigbee Green Power. Products with poor Zigbee implementations might not work as expected. We are constantly adding new products to our offering. You'll find a selection of devices, which are guaranteed to interoperate, in our online-shop at www.smarthome-store.de.
